I only have a psvita at the time. I'm looking really forward to trails of cold steel 2 which should be out later this year. I actually enjoyed the first game.

Well, I've been hearing a lot of stuff about Left 4 Dead 3. Nothing has been seen or confirmed (to my knowledge). I'm a big fan of the first 2 games, and I would love to know it was true.

I heard a rumor somewhere that PS4 will be releasing a dual game that includes Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, possibly later this month. If this is true, then that would be awesome! And THAT would be the game(s) that I look forward to the most.

I'm really excited for the new Ninja Turtles coming out. Out of the Shadows wasn't very good but this one has promise due to the creators of the game. I can't remember the names of the games they've developed off the top of my head (Bayonetta is one I think) but I do know that they've made some games with excellent combat systems.

I gues I would say that the new Pokemon Sun and Moon games are the ones that I'm looking forward to the most right now. I'm really excited to see what the new Pokemon as well as the new region would look like. The regions only get bigger and more 3D with each game so I'm really excited for it.

dkmec20 : You must mean Platinum games, I think.  To be fair, not every one of their games has been extremely well-received (The Legend of Korra, for example), but every game of theirs I know of (including that one) is known for very fluid combat.  They also developed The Wonderful 101, if I remember correctly.

I personally am looking forward most to Super Mario 3D World when it comes out on March 11th as a Nintendo Selects title.  Besides that, maybe Pikmin 3, out on the same date through Nintendo Selects.

Personally I am most excited for Tales of Berseria at the moment. I think I will be playing that game until I complete it 100%. I may pre-order it if I have enough money.

It was a tough choice, there's a lot of good games coming out soon it seems, especially for the JRPG genre.

Right now I'm super-excited to hear about what Nintendo says about the NX and the new Zelda game at E3. Kinda glad I held off buying a Wii-U now, especially if this game will be available at NX launch. Going to have to reserve the game, even though I don't often do that!

I am most looking forward to Zelda Wii U/NX. I can't wait what Nintendo has to say about the game on E3 2016 (it's about time they talk about it). Been waiting for this game ever since its very first trailer, and I'm kinda patient to it.

Delayed games are often the best games, and rushed games are bad forever. Nintendo should take all the time they need for this game, and with its many delays, I see no reason now for Zelda Wii U/NX to fail now. I might come up with a new favorite game who knows...

I am also pretty excited for Pokemon Sun and Moon. New islands to explore, new Rotom Pokedex, new Pokemon, just wow :3.

Sonic Mania!
You've probably heard of it right now, but this game is what I'm most hyped for. Why? A: A recent 2d Sonic game that's NOT based on nostalgia. B: Taxman, Stealth, and the S2HD team is working on the game. And C: It's being developed with the Retro Engine that was used in the Sonic 1, 2, and CD remakes.

If you don't know what it is, It's a 2D Sonic game that's gonna combine old zones (with a completely new spin on them) and new zones (that's not going to be carbon copies of old zones). It also has a style that's completely 2D with sprites and whatnot. I just CANNOT wait for it, the hype for this game is never-ending!!!

I'm really excited now for Pokémon sun, the countdown really kicks into high gear as of right now. Just a few more Days until it comes out and I'm my case it will be sitting in my mailbox Friday morning. Can't wait to see what it's like.

Well, this hasn't been posted in in a while, but I'm looking forward to Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, as I'm seeing Colress taking a large part in the story, due to it looking like Necrozma is fusing with Solgaleo and Lunala, leading me to believe the DNA Splicers and Team Plasma might just be the villain, sort of like a Black and White 3, which would be really cool. I'm also looking forward to Super Mario Odyssey, it looks so odd but so good, making me excited, as well as Sonic Forces, which may look weird due to the custom characters, but that will make the game be much bigger and more game play options will be available as opposed to Sonic Generations.

More than a month since the last reply... People is no longer hyped for games, it seems.

Not in my case, for I'm impatiently expecting Project CARS 2. Little less than 2 months since it releases, though I'll probably won't get it until next year, and it features so much awesomeness that I can't wait to lay my hands on it. The classic tracks of ancient times where you forged yourself as a man by going faster and faster, the Rallycross events providing a good twist to the game and the perfect in-between road racing and off-road, the available settings for literally any climate you can imagine, the car roster being close to a dream...

I'm also expecting another game, but since details are scarce on it as of now the hype hasn't yet reached the depths of my soul. I hope I'll have fully enjoyed Project 2 by the time it releases, because if it ends up being as good as the early leaks promise I may become overly attached to my PS4 again next year.

EX Palen : See, I would be hype for Project Cars 2 if I wasn't already looking forward to Gran Turismo Sport. The fact that XBOX has given out at least 3 or 4 racing games with Games with Gold in the past 12 months doesn't help either. I used to be really into racing games as a kid, and I couldn't get enough of them. But now, I have Project Cars to complete, and I've barely made a dent in that. I got 2 or 3 achievements giving me a really hard time in Dirt Showdown. And then Forza Motorsports 6 I have another 50 hours easily if I want to get all the achievements in the base game. I've only done a small portion of the NASCAR DLC, and I haven't even started on the Porche DLC.

thing1 : A couple friends of mine would tell you to stick with Forza and ditch out everything else, but I'll only tell you to ditch out Gran Turismo Sport.

Gran Turismo isn't the main racing simulator any longer, because both Project and Forza have clearly outclassed it. They also release games in a shorter span, quickly evolving while Gran Turismo stays the same. Besides, it's not like Sport will be too big of a change over the rest of titles, it will just focus more on GT Academy and bringing drivers to real cars, basically drifting away from being the videogame you can enjoy sitting at home.

Gran Turismo, as a videogame franchise, is now mostly dead. The many things it has achieved outside of the videogame sector have kept the developers busy, which has allowed the competition to gain the upper hand. That's why I'm not hyped for Sport at the slightest, its approach isn't the same as Forza or Project, and of course isn't the approach I'm looking in a videogame.

And well, compare what can Project 2 and Sport give you. A racing enthusiast prefers a good bunch of real tracks that spawn not just the present but also the legendary past, a good pool of cars from any continent, category and era, and a realistic simulation of races and climate. Sport won't feature pearls like 70s Spa, nor will it have a balanced amount of cars from all continents (a staple since the very first Gran Turismo, more than 20 years ago), nor will it have an advanced setting menu for totally customizable climate conditions like snow and ice. Both may lack at realistic simulation, but Project outclasses Sport by a fair margin and without that halo of magnificence Polyphony Digital has.

Summarizing, if you're not aiming to become the top of the crop online to try to get a real seat at a racing car, stick with videogames that focus on the home entertainment: Forza for Xbox and Project for Sony.

EX Palen : I get what you are saying. But for me, it's a matter of what I currently have, what I have been playing the 5 years or so, and what I grew up on.

Before I bought my first system, an XBOX 360, at the end of 2012, I had hardly played video games since I was, like, 7, because of how my parents viewed them. I grew up on Mario Kart, Star Wars: Episode 1 Pod Racing, and Grant Turismo on the PS1. I chose the XBOX 360 over the PS3 at the type becuase of exclusives. I decided, that based off of what I was interested in, I would get Halo and Gears of War over God War.
In the past 5 years, I have played Forza Motorsports 5 and 6, Forza Horizon 1 and 2, Dirt Showdown, a little Project Cars, and a few other various racing games, including a handful of Need For Speed Titles.
I currently own Project Cars 1 (with Games With Gold on the XBOX ONE) and Forza 6. I don't have anything that is racing on my PS4. Like I said earlier, the "realistic racing simulator" that I grew up on was the Gran Turismo series. I remember having to do events to get a license, to be able to do certain things in the career. I remember being able to buy cars both new and Used. You needed to pay attention to their miles, because you had to do oil changes. And growing up, I liked that. I'm hoping that Gran Turismo Sport will have those again, because Forza and Project Cars don't. Too me, it's just a bunch of different cars on about 20 or 30 tracks, or an open world, and that gets repatative after 5 plus years.

So, for me, right now, it's not about what might be viewed as the best Realistic Racing Simulator on the market, but repatativeness and nostaglia. That's why I'm looking forward to Gran Turismo Spot, and not Forza 7 or Project Cars 2. (Also, I kind of care about achievements on the XBOX, but not Trophies on the PlayStation)

thing1 : I also grew with Gran Turismo. I owned the first two games for the PSX, the one for PSP and also Gran Turismo 6 while having played 5 and 4 due to friends or family having them (which is what got me to buy GT6, after all).

Gran Turismo actually offers way less than Project. The latter has a seasonal calendar of +10 categories, and each category has its own venues and rules. To me, it's way better than Gran Turismo, where you can pick any car you want and battles can easily be one-sided due to the difference in vehicles. Those races where I can lap some cars but not become race leader because some cars are rubbish and others are missiles aren't really enjoyable, better when it's a category and you can choose from a preselected roster, sometimes having just one option and battle with +20 of the same car to demonstrate your skills and adjusting the car's settings to your benefit.

Besides, the flaws of Gran Turismo are way worse than those of Project. The excessive presence of Japanese cars when Europe and America fail to have modern cars, fictional tracks over real world ones, tuning options implying parts change instead of just adjusting the base car to your driving preferences, climate conditions and time of the day... I would NOT go back to GT6 after playing Project, definitely.

Nostalgia? Well, that's simply because Gran Turismo keeps those fictional tracks and most of the car roster it all started with back in the mid 90s. They have moved forward to include more and newer tracks and cars, but I still feel it's greatly unbalanced. Cars don't have a balance between countries, not for categories or licensing like happens in Project but because they don't give a damn, and tracks don't have a balance because real world tracks are only a small portion of the whole roster. Basically, the nostalgia is that Gran Turismo is still like it was at its birth, while the competition has evolved and moved away from its roots to keep increasing the offer of new things while relying just slightly on what appeared in the prequels, all in an attempt to make the game a better experience.

The game I'm looking forward to the most right now that's been officially announced is pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Not that I'm really hyped for them but I only play 2 franchises and it's the only game currently announced for both of them.

Just interested to see if it will fix some of the issues Sun and Moon had. Probably not but who knows.
