I feel like Mega Evolutions are a good way to bring the spotlight to underused or Pokemon that aren't too common. What I don't think is right is giving a Mega Form to pokemon like Mewtwo or Blaziken -.-

They are strong enough as is. I would have loved to see the more uncommon pokemon get redone and such.

I'm pretty excited for the Horde battles. Up to 5 wild pokemon at once? There goes all my EXP problems

I think I even saw a leak from Corocoro showing what was supposed to be a Light-type Pokemon, but I guess Game Freak scrapped that idea. Oh Masuda, WHY????

More news regarding X and Y.

According to Nintendo there will be an option to transfer your Pokémon from B/W and B2/W2 to X and Y. There will most likely be an annual fee for this option as it requires that you buy an item in order to do this.

It has also been announced that you will be able to get a Kanto starting Pokémon as well in X and Y. Venasuar, Charzard, and Blastoise also confirmed to get Mega Evolutions as well (there are some pictures going around as well, but I don't know if they are real or just fan made.) So that brings the total of starting Pokémon to 7 (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Torchic, Cespin, Froakie, and Fennekin). I didn't count the 3 starters from B/W as they require paying something in order to have them.

FunnyFurret : Wow, all that and Charizard STILL hasn't become a Dragon-type?! Yeesh, Game Freak could at least given Charizard a Dragon-type when he Mega-Evolves, but NOPE (then again, its kinda the same case with a couple others like Gyrados). MASUUUDAAAAA!!!!

I have mixed opinions on this soon to be released title. I am not the biggest pokemon fan, but I will play the game from time to time. They look like they have changed the over head perspective to something a bit more... 3DS. I am not a fan of the Hero sprites, it looks like Dragon Quest a bit to much, only in pokemon style cloths. To be honest I don't like the idea of mega pokemon, They have ruined some pokemon in the progress and it is turning into digimon!!

I have been quite negative but there are somethings to like about it. I think the Wifi should have some decent potential. I think the Legendary that looks like it is a Y is pretty cool, but the other reminds me of a different pokemon. I am not a massive fan so I don't know every name. I also like the new battle animations, I think they will look amazing in 3D!!

I'm really getting excited about X and Y!

The new Mega Evolution starters look interesting. I really like their new abilities. Venusaur getting Thick Fat is an incredible boost to it's defenses, and it's even getting a defense and special defense boost! And Charizard getting Drought? That's going to be so awesome for a fire type team! I do wonder if there's going to be more to Blastoise's ability besides just boosting Water Pulse and Dark Pulse?

Anyway, I think I'll be trying to put together an all fire team for my first play through. Start with Fennekin, get Charmander, then get the event Torchic. That should be fun!

I actually plan on choosing Blastoise as my Kanto, downloading the event Torchic and then choosing Chespin. That way I have the 3 basic typings covered and I have the chance for 2 mega evolutions. Plus, it'll be the first time I truly start with a grass type. I only choose grass on my like 3rd or 4th playthrough.
