Mortal Kombat 1:
The disembodied heads of various Midway employees like MK creators Ed Boon and John Tobias can be seen impaled on the bottom of The Pit stage.
The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive ports of Mortal Kombat's soundtrack featured most of the music from the original arcade game. But were all remixed rhythmically and melodically.
Although Kung Lao is mentioned not in the game.
In the Simpsons episode Marge Be Not Proud you can see the demo of a video game Mortal Kombat parody, in which Liu Kang is fighting a war tank, which defeats him and leaves him in a position to "Finish Him ". In the same chapter, is promoting a video game called "Bonestorm'' Bloodstorm'' spoof'' (a game that made Daniel Pesina is dismissed).
Before called Mortal Kombat, the game was originally going to be called Kumite, then would call Dragon Attack, Deathblow and even then was renamed as the Fatality technique, but in the end Steve Richie added the word "Mortal" and already written "Kombat, "placed Mortal Kombat.
Scorpion's real name is Hanzo Hasashi.
At first it was going to be Jax in MK1, named Kurtis Stryker, but for reasons of argument is reserved for Mortal Kombat 2.

Mortal Kombat 2:
In the arcade version, the 250th two-player game would unlock a session of the arcade classic Pong with Mortal Kombat II sound effects.
After knocking the victim into the acid pool, if the player holds down on the joystick, Dan Forden will say "Ow-a" or something similar.
In the arcade version of Mortal Kombat II, a glitch occasionally caused Kitana to morph into a red female ninja, who was nicknamed "Skarlet". This rumour spread like wild-fire when a magazine published "actual images" of this glitch, even though it was stated later on that it was a hoax. However, some players still believed that there was another secret character, when in fact they had only uncovered another programming bug. Due to the rumors surrounding the glitch, Midway did eventually include a red female ninja character named Skarletas an official character in Mortal Kombat (2011).
Ed Boon's face was superimposed onto the trees for the Living Forest stage.
Kintaro was left out of the Game Boy version of MKII due to memory limitation.

Mortal kombat 3:
This is the only Mortal Kombat Scorpion appears not.
Raiden only appears as cameo in the friendship of Nightwolf.
Carlos Pesina, who played Raiden in the first two MK Title not appeared in Mortal Kombat 3, as a punishment for his involvement in the game rivals  'Tattoo Assassins'.
Kabal was to be called Sandman.
When MK3 came rumor that Cyrax and Sektor were new forms of Scorpion and Sub-Zero (Sektor could be Ermac respectively). In the first betas of MK3, both cyborg had other names identified as ketchup and mustard.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3:
In the Arcade version of the game, in the introduction sequence appeared Rain, the players went looking for him but did not find him because the character was unique to the home versions.
In the Sega Genesis version appeared a gap which gave a new stage when the game ends, the stage was the castle destroyed Shao Kahn.

Mortal Kombat 4:
Liu Kang's face in MK4 is the captured image of the face of a game programmer, 'Josh Tsui'.
according to the magazine Club Nintendo Mortal Kombat 4 Game Boy Color version is one of the worst games for this console.
Ed Boon and John Tobias are the creators of Noob Saibot (Their names are on it).
Some voices are in Spanish, as people from Latin America participated in the voices. For example, when Reptile says "Ay,mami" (Oh, Mommy) when injured or Sub-Zero says "Toca el hielo" (Touch the ice) when leaving a clone (although he is not well understood).
The Noob Saibot fatality is identical to Reiko.
Tanya was not originally in MK4 instead were Kitana and Mileena, but Ed Boon and company must have thought there were too many other MK characters in MK4, and modified them so that they created to Tanya. Eventually, Kitana and Mileena both were included in Mortal Kombat Gold.
