I've never erased my own Pokemon game, but here's a story for all you guys. My sister never plays on her DS Lite. Never. So I was playing her Pokemon Pearl game and I beat it and I was catching Legendaries and stuff. I even caught Palkia. Then one day, she comes along and says that it's her game (though she never plays it), and then deletes my file.

Do I ever reget easing my Pokemon games?, Well no I don't ever regret erasing my Pokémon games,
because if they get erased I usually want them to. But sometimes I do
think back especially when I had a gameshark and I hacked(inserted
cheats) on  Pokémon Yellow, I think about all the legendary Pokémon and
Level 100's I deleted.

Countless times.
I usually do it because I get bored of the post game or I wish I had played another team then I regret it afterwards.
Especially one time in soul silver when I had went through the whole game and did everything except beating Red which I regretted.

I just erased my Pokémon ruby game for no apparent reason. I do admit that was the most stupidest thing I have ever done. Plus I forgot that I had my Swampert in the game. And I do admit that Swampert was a bit of a beast as well.
