I think it was 3 months was the longest I dated anyone, and I have not really dated anyone in over 6 years. Been on a few one time dates that were disasters, then sort of just stopped trying, haha. Think I just need to get in a place where I am comfortable with where I am, or close to it, and then start actively dating.

ruesen : I don't want to change subject but why aren't you comfortable?  What changes are you making to do better and love yourself more?  Most importantly, can we help?

Oh that is appreciated, but I more meant financially. I only recently got a job to finally start paying off some student loans, and perhaps eventually, fix my car or buy a new one. Not having my own car could make a relationship a bit strained, so I'm not actively looking for anyone. I would not want to burden them to be the one to do the driving or having to wait until I can borrow a loved one's car.

Now should someone seek me out of the blue, it is not like I would turn them down, just they would need to understand my situation. I imagine one seeking me would be more understanding than if I were seeking someone and bring up, "Oh, I don't have my own car, so we might not be able to see each other as often..."

Also, even though I got a job, my money is very low, so I would not be able to spend as much money on dates. Not that I have to be the "big man" when it comes to paying the bill or anything, I just want to be able to pull my own.

And more to the topic's point, this was never as much a problem when it came to my past dates, mainly because bulk of those relationships I was too young to drive, and the ones where I could and had a car, a lot of my exes were just little disasters themselves.

I am a lot more fine with who I am than I was in the past, now I got to work on the WHERE I am in life.

Well I have had my girlfriend for 5 years...  Thinking about marriage. She is still my girlfriend... Yea...

Longest relationship offline was about 2 years with an ex. She was a nice woman and everything but in the end we both wanted different things and wanted to call it quits..

Five years and still counting! We got married after 1 year dating. He told me he couldn't offer me much... I told him I would live with him under a bridge...and he asked me to marry him.

My longest relationship is with the one and only SonicMcMuffin.. I had seen people before, some really nice people, some really not so nice, but (prepare the cheese!) nobody really made me feel like he makes me feel..

I think the longest I dated it was a girl and we dated for about 4-5 months. It was OK I guess. 

warmaker : Well it’s been a long time since I was in a real relationship but my last real one (which I now consider to be a mistake) was on and off for a couple of years when I was younger. Young, Dumb, Naïve, and full of stupidity are the best words to describe that period of my life. Knowing what I know now after maturing, wising up and knowing what I’ve been through as a result of being young and dumb I would certainly go back to that period of my life and correct things if I could. Best advice I could offer someone in regard to relationships is to really get to know the person you’re getting involved with to be sure it’s right for you. Jumping into a relationship too quickly could result in regrets, consequences and, grief. It isn’t worth it.

I don't do that jazz, I'm too awesome for dating. LOL! I haven't really wanted too, which is probably good seeing as I'm 15... Interesting to hear about so many others though...

3 years, me and Casey lasted that long when I was 15-18 years old... I really do miss her so much.. but that's what you get when you she goes to a party and dies in a crash :'( R.I.P Casey <3

Oh and guys, the magical part.You never ever get to know if the person is "the one true love". Either you find out "no" in the most akward moment. Or too early or too late or even at your deathbed you just realize that was the person who only tolerated you the most and had no other choice.
