darthyoda : One, the bust was loaned to President Bush and Obama decided to not keep it further. Two, he had reasons that not even the British could fault (under Churchill's control, Obama's grandfather was tortured during the Mau Mau Rebellion in Kenya). Three, according to the British press, no one was offended by it.

Obama himself hasn't hurt the economy any more than any president ever has... Congress and the free market have more of the blame there, since, you know, the President of the United States cannot nor could ever control the market (since that is against the law).

Oldschool41 : Yeah, it is beyond me that those candidates got so many votes... I think that it is a clear sign that something is deeply, deeply wrong with this country and with many Republicans in general when they would still vote for these guy's just because they are "holding the party line."

Did you can see the Twitter blog? I was too young to vote, but if I voted, I'll vote for Obama. Also, There was about 15,000 tweets a second! But, Obama is trying to upper taxes. Romney wants to lower the taxes but the government uses the taxes to build, fix, or make local places and stuff. Also, There was a election for Congress and the House of rep.

I'm curious to find out just how much we'll all be charged for Obamacare to take place. Don't get me wrong, I haven't had ANY insurance for the last 7 years (and I'm 24) and am stoked that I won't be screwed if I need to go to the hospital but ya my paycheck gets hit hard enough...especially in IL

Elara : As your previous posts somewhat implies, people are heavily misinformed as to what powers the President actually has. Many would be surprised how little the President can do. Congress has more power than him, technically. Yet the President is blamed for everything. Kind of like how when Bush was President, Fox news stated the President has almost no influence on gas prices and showed their pie chart showing what all had the most influence over that. Yet this past year, Fox news has been putting the high gas prices on Obama. Funny how the President apparently has more power depending on which political party is in office. Not that the democratic party doesn't do the exact same thing (given that that is just politics), I just can't think of a specific example right now.

rcarter2 : Oh, I know that they do. It's why I am still highly critical of any political reports I read... but facts are facts (like the gas price thing) and you can't flip flop on that. It's why I think the party system is stupid.

I will admit, I didn't like Bush, an I was really vocal about it. But at the same time, when it was something that was Congress' fault, I laid the blame at their door. The Recession? Congress' deregulation policies and the greed of the banks. Deregulation itself is not a bad thing, but when you have predatory lenders doing reckless things with other people's money, regulation is the only protection we have... and we didn't have it.

yea if i was old enough i would have voted for obama. but i am pretty happy he went again, i was hoping we would get better options for presidants, cause mitt romney was terrible, obama was not bad. But they say that mitt romney went down cause he lied to them. i forgot what he lied to them about but it must of been pretty important cause that was part ofwhat made him lose. and mitt romney was hungry for war while obama just wanted a peaceful and healthy country. yeah but economy is very bad now so thats what obama has to focus on.

I agree with most of you, nobody would have made an big impact. If Romney were president, everything would stay the same. But Obama isn't really doing much but trying to create more jobs. I hope what he is doing is in the right place. America is still young, and it still needs work.
