Does anyone know any really great Christian themed games out there? I'm mainly looking for board games and such, but video games are fine as well.

Most Christian themed games, unfortunately, seem to be rather simple, or boring, or just poorly planned and made.

My favorite, however, has been Redemption, the trading card game.  I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who enjoys trading card games. This is the best Bible based game I have ever played.  In all honesty, I'd say the quality level is right up there with the big TCG's..  It's simply not well known because, well, it's Christian.  LOL

I just looked up that Redemption card game and it sounds pretty fun. I use to really enjoy playing the Pokemon card game when I was younger so if this is anything like that, I'd definitely like it.

I enjoyed watching my sister collect Pokemon and then playing it with her, but that's an expensive hobby!  LOL

It is indeed similar to that, but the goal is to 'win souls' through battle between evil and good spirits and bible characters.

Would you consider letting me order you deck or two as a gift?  If you're not interested, that's fine, but I've always appreciated your site and the hard work you do to maintain it.  I also appreciate the fact that you aren't afraid to make a stance for your beliefs in such a public and popular place.  So it would be an honor to me if you'd let me do that.

Davideo7 :  Oh, that would be so lovely!  You'll have to wait until the end of the month if you don't mind.  My husband I ran out of our funds due to a few .... purchases not wisely made on my husband's part.  So we're struggling to keep ourselves fed on even Ramen (literally.)

I'd love to send you both a few decks at the end of the month when I get paid though.  One starter deck is enough for two people, but I wouldn't mind sending you some booster packs as well.

A Christian-themed game I really enjoyed years back with my Dad was Ominous Horizons - A Paladin's Calling. The company that made it also made a game called Catechumen. Both OH and Catechumen are DOOM style titles and personally I find them to be quite well done. It is still possible to buy them off of Amazon.com if you use it but be wary it is difficult to get these games working under the modern editions of Windows.

Before I look into it, is it a game that contains magic?  Usually the term paladin these days implies magical aspects, though paladin simply means 'knight' or hero.

I'm asking because I won't play anything that has magic in it.

Singelli : Not as I recall. Magic is replaced by faith power.

Why has no one made a game based on bible yet??? Maybe they have but I have not seen one yet. I'd imagine it would be pretty fun if it were similar to zelda ocarina of time.

But as a Christian...
I understand the need for this & such stuff. Really for kids....
But as a adult with a mature mind & a person that knows god well.
Little such things as playing a video game isn't going to steal your soul.
I saw you wouldn't even play a game if it had magic?
I just personally find that a little silly.
cuz of the faith power thing.
As far as the game goes.
Its the same thing.
its just the concept that changes.
& that's on you not the maker of the game.
I'm just trying to say when you give it power it has power.
so don't give it to it.


I enjoy many games as no I don't play a ton anymore simple as I am to busy.
But when you simple play with other Christian on sad to say most all crappy games for us out there.
you just get to be bored with another Christian.
Play the games where everyone plays?
just play but as a human that's not a outstanding horrible person.
Its not really the game, but the people.
& I love helping people get saved.
& you can save people that are already.
So just live life smart & don't let the evils around you control you.
because no matter what. The enemy is going to be there.
Its the fact that you have the power to deal with him.
I've played on Xbox live (wonderful group of people there hah aha.........)
But in so running into quite lost people. I've gotten to help many of them.

on my very un Christian writing site. I've talked a few people out of suicide that were lead to me & many other things. Such as this.

I don't mean to step on your faith. By any means.
But if you do have real faith. Such things as this can't effort you.

Let me end on this.
My church is in a little place next to are airport & sadly behind hooters. If you know what that is or not
its basically a normal restaurant that only has busted waitress for server (sad because there wings are so awesome.)
But if god came back outside of my church I don't believe he'd be in church with me but at hooters saving some people.
