I have always loved Sonic the Hedgehog because of his speed. I love fast paced game play that I can memorize all of the jumps and movements to clear it the fastest. That is why I can clear Emerald Hill Zone 1 in less than 30 seconds, and clear Green Hill Zone Act 1 in 30 seconds.

Sonic is far from my favourite character, but I'm okay with him because he isn't as bland as he could be. He gets cocky, and has his own little flaws, even if Sega has yet to capitalize on them.
As for the games, I love them because they're solid platformers (Even if a good chunk of the fanbase doesn't think so) and because they've got a bright cast of characters, even if most of them are rarely used or even mentioned.
