The Cape in Super Mario World was and still is the best power up in my opinion. I do not think it was every used again and the fact that it is not even in Super Mario World 3D really sucks. The item needs its return, I certainly had fun using it!

My greatest preferred item of the video games of Mario must be the Super Star. It is not my favorite because it causes invincibility to Mario, but it is my favorite because of the tune it plays when active for Mario. Honestly, the theme of the Super Star is one of my most favored tunes.

My favorite power-up is the flying power-up in Super Mario Bros Wii. Although I like the rainbow, since it makes mario invincible, the flying power up allows me to get through levels much faster and it's so fun to skip through parts of hard levels by flying upward instead of jumping to avoid rolling boulders.

I think I am going to have to go with the Propeller Cap as well. It saved my life several times, including the final battle with Boswer (phase two, that is) when I was about to fall into the lava.

My favorites are the Fire Flower and the Ice flower. The fire Flower has always been my favorite. The reason why I like the Ice Flower is because you can freeze enemies and throw or kick them. I also have a new favorite which is the Cat Suit. The reason why I like that is because I like cats.

My vote is for Tanooki Suit!
With all the abilities of raccoon Mario, plus the ability to turn into that weird invincible statue thing, where can you go wrong?
I love using the statue form to kill those rotating/orbiting lights present in many of the castles.

In super Mario Brothers I had a few favorites. My favorite would be the fire power up. I just thought it was cool to throw fireballs at enemies and clear the whole screen of enemies. However I would always have trouble getting past the Hammer Brothers lol. My second favorite would be the Hammer Brothers power up. I enjoyed that one because you could throw hammers and give the koop's a dose of t heir own medicine. The only drawback was that it was rare.
