Although i did not use xpadder, i used a program called joy2key b/c i was having problems with xpadder not registering the input from the controllers (even though windows was). If i were you i would try joy2key first but make sure that you have installed the drivers for the controller or else it wont work

Actually it does work on Win7 all you have to do is right click on the program and click on Troubleshoot Compatibility. I don't have a controller to actually test this out but the program is running, but if anyone wants to test this out to make sure it works go right ahead and prove me wrong (or right ).

I use Joy2Key as well, it's very easy to use if you take a look at it, and it's free (if you download the Win7 compatible version from the site, it costs like $10 or something like that) for even the latest version. You can also program it to work with more buttons than you have by having it trigger a different response (as if you're using another controller) when hitting certain button combos (like holding one down while hitting others). It's really neat, so if you have Win7 or would just like more recent software, use Joy 2 Key

I'm running Windows XP sp3, on a Gigabyte MA77OT-UD3P with a 3.2 ghtz AMD Phenom II X4, 4 gigs DDR3 ram. Just recently received a Logitech Wireless Rumblepad 2, when I go to play SNES roms using RGR plugin, the keyboard/gamepad selection for player 1 and 'extra devices' is disabled, while mouse is enabled. I don't know what I did but there has been times when the keyboard/gamepad options stay selected. Usually any time I enable gamepad/keyboard disables it again.
