Help! I need help! I just finished downloading all of the FFVIII disc one parts from this site, I was given instruction that when I extract one of the parts, a folder will appear and automatically, all of the parts will combine in that folder.

So when I open my ePSXe and click "Run ISO" and I search in the corresponding folder, it tells me "No similar items found". Did I do something wrong?

first, make sure you extract from part one only, dont try and extract from any other part.
next check the folder it made and there may be another archive in it, extract that as well.
if you have done both those, check for the files in the FF8 folder it made and tell me what they are called.

I extracted part 1
I checked the folder, the only thing there was a folder
I checked the other folder and all there is:

Final Fantasy VIII [NTSC-U] [Disc1of4] [SLUS-00892].ccd

Final Fantasy VIII [NTSC-U] [Disc1of4] [SLUS-00892].img.ecm

Final Fantasy VIII [NTSC-U] [Disc1of4] [SLUS-00892].sub

And an option to burn them into a disc using Roxio.

ok. now you see the file Final Fantasy VIII [NTSC-U] [Disc1of4] [SLUS-00892].img.ecm
thats the file we need to work with. please follow these instructions.

what you need to do is use this tool:
http://www.neillcorlett.com/downloads/ecm100.zip
to decompress the ecm file. copy and paste the link or you wont get the file!

i'll explain. extract that tool (highlighted above) to a folder.
drag the "Final Fantasy VIII [NTSC-U] [Disc1of4] [SLUS-00892].img.ecm" file onto the "unecm.exe" executable and it will decompress into "Final Fantasy VIII [NTSC-U] [Disc1of4] [SLUS-00892].img"
that new file will work in epsxe.
you can delete the "Final Fantasy VIII [NTSC-U] [Disc1of4] [SLUS-00892].img.ecm" file now, you dont need it anymore.
just put the new img file in the same folder with your other game files.
