Markeith21 : More or likely yes there are going to be many people trying to get ahead of you in the VCS and go on enormous posting sprees.

But if you keep a 30-50 post count everyday you'll be fine.

School is one of my biggest factors as of now. It takes up a lot of my day and I have religious homework on top of my school homework.

I'll be lucky to place top 5 this month.

Interesting results. I might try to rank sometimes, but end of the year demands focus on schoolwork.

Looks like I have to be quick again, because we already had tour de vizzed last month, now it is the VCS contest and I don't know if I may possibly get the top 10 when I have my usual nearly 10-15 posts a day.

Stevie 764 : The first day is always a mass spree of posting

After that your 10-15 might be barley enough to get you into the top 10.

If you bump it up form 15-20 or 20-30 then you'll most likely make it into the top 5.

Let me break it down for you.

First 5 days - You need 30+ posts for top 10.
Middle 20 days - You need 10+ posts for top 10.
Last 5 days - You need 25+ posts for top 10.

hackerman : The only time I can ever get to bump up my posting speed is on the weekends because I have school to go to, and that explains why on the weekdays, I never get to post until 3 PM (My time zone) and it is 2 PM for Davideo7's time zone. If I get lucky, I might be able to get a bunch of posting on a weekend but barely on a weekday.

legacyme3 : That is a good pattern, but the worst part is that I have school to do, and I never get to post until the minute I get home from school, so it will be very hard to get my posting speed balanced because I have school.

I did get lucky in the March VCS 2012 where I barely got in the top 12, but this month will get crazy!

Only on good days is when I can bump my post count up.

But because of the load of school work I get it's pretty hard for me to actually post.

Today is not a day where I think I'm going to win anything, so... Congratulations to the people who are posting. I am lazy.

Yeah I'm not really bothered about winning the competition it's more of a motivation to actually get me posting more often, If i end up in the top 5 at the end of the month I'll be extremely happy...

Well, posting activity wasn't great yesterday. Not quite as good as yesterday and far away from earning double points. But not too bad. Leggy is already getting a decent lead. But will that keep?

I just need to have internet up. That's the key thing.

Not only that, but I noticed that as long as you have roughly 34 posts a day on average, you will reach 17,000 posts by the end of the month. Jeez.

I have about 27 a day for my entire career I think. When I post, I tend to post 30-50 a day though.

I hit 1000 a month pretty easily at this point.

I should hit 20000 around my 2 year if this holds up.

Jeez. If my average sticks around the same number as it is now, by the time my second year comes rolling around, I will reach roughly 10,000 posts. If I wanted to even attempt 20,000 post before my second year is over, I would have to start posting about 44 posts a day every day for the entire year. That would be pretty insane.

Don't know if I can make well on a VCS, but well, I'll try.

I knew if I went to bet then someone would pass me. The same thing happened in the June VCS.

I was leading with 50 then YMK and septembern just passed me. -.-
