MAFIA ROUND 8

Potato Rule - Two Mafias. Two Bystander teams. In TWO GAMES. In one. The players won't be told which mafia they are in, or which bystander team they are on. Once one side wins, the other teams will keep playing till there is a winner. Once we have two winners, they will be split up AGAIN into two more teams(after a day has passed...) Also, 4 players who died in the game will be brought back to life. These 4 players will be decided based on a RNG. 2 on each team.

Part 2 - Once 2 day rounds have past, every player will get 1 night round kill (for that night only) and they will be told their goal is to be the last member of their own team standing (the following day). The last 2 on each team will be the winners... individually. The team winners will have been decided prior to this rule... and witheld to the end of the game.

Part2b - If one of the 4 revived players finds a way to post in the game thread (during the night/day they are brought to life), without being killed in the next day round, they will be made a Leggyist for the rest of the game.

Part2c - The revived players will be kept a secret until after the 2nd night (just in time to be lynched, and or killed in the 2nd night)

I probably won't hold another "convoluted" round for a long ass time. It's really draining... and it's hard to pull off if half the players are inactive. When the game was active it was an absolute blast for me.

Honestly, this would have probably been the best, most chaotic round ever if half the players didn't just run away.

I think that a list of entry requirements must be met before you can actually take part I'm mafia.... simple stuff like, Member status stuff like that etc.

The secret alliance worked. We made it to the end. lol.

Also, the never ending round of Mafia is over! Seriously. It took longer than it should.

Blah. Was I the only one who actually contacted a teammate? Even if neither of us were positive we were on the same team I was feeding silver info...

legacyme3 : Bonus points for finding a teammate blind and giving him info on a GL existing? Even if all of my forges except for MasterDash missed (And he was the tree... ).

It would have been awesome if someone got who I forged in night 3 though. It would have probably induced panic. XD

Giving MasterDash MVP when in this game he accomplished basically nothing is also quite the troll.

Also, I was the only one among the revived group to get killed. On top of that, that makes me the only person who died twice. Seems pretty certain now the other players don't want me in the game. :|

drag00n365 : I keep getting asked that ... It's Warwick from League of Legends, this is the 'FireFang' character skin for him.

WarpStarFerret : I kinda figured that - which was precisely why I didn't like my rolecast in the beginning of the game. I was Fool, and Gunmen were abundant. I fooltell, and I get ignored or shot. I try to keep my poker face on, and I get shot. On top of that, the potato rule would've screwed over any Fools who were relying on a late-game win condition meet, would any of them have still been alive at that point.

And of course, when I was revived, I knew my only chance of winning was not letting anyone know I was alive. Moment all the reviveds are exposed? I'm first to be lynched.
Of course, the late-game shuffle was completely absurd and blind-run luck-based to begin with, and I felt that was honestly, um, dumb. Leggy was trying so hard to troll the players that it led to a whole aimless, dragged-out scenario where there was -no- good practice of either deduction skills, player manipulation, or WIFOM mind games between the players (and no, troll moves such as Morsalbus giving MasterDash a gun so he can pull a WIFOM on the Doctor, hurting their OWN alignment, and only by sheer chance hitting the Fool with that same move, don't count), and it basically got reduced to Leggy stroking his ego and saying "HAHA I GOTCHA, RULES CHANGE NOW, BEST GAME EVER CUZ IT'S LOL RANDOM XD". In the post-potato-rule game there was no real "Alignment" win and the winners were basically reduced to "People that didn't die", so there was no real point in using any Mafia strategies except starting a lynch mob and hoping you're not turned on.In the end, it never even once felt like an actual Mafia game.

Obvious things I felt should change next game to address issues with this game:
1) My role should've been something calculated to penalize the people most likely to kill me (Easiest way to do this: Make the Bomb a forum Mafia class, set it's rules so that it'd kill -anyone- who's actions would lead to the bomb's shooting so that even if shot by a Gun at day, both the shooter and the Gun Launderer would be targetted, in case the other party was a tree.), to make them think twice about jumping at the chance to do it. Or, if not necessarily having me be that role, at least give me plenty of room to make people think I'm that role.
2) There were -way- too many people with independent killing power and the willingness to haphazardly and randomly use it. There shouldn't be Gun Launderers in a game where -four- night kills can theoretically happen as it is in a game. A large chunk of the supposed "players" were offed before they even had a real chance to play! Doctors  were hardly effective at all at offsetting this. Perhaps the Blacksmith, Bulletproof, Saboteur, or a class that gives fake guns need to be implemented to subvert or penalize this kind of action.
3) Dragging the game out by arbitration probably -encouraged- the amount of idlers in the game, and that should not happen again. When there's an obvious lynchmob and the votes are all finalized, don't make us wait "Just because".
4) Already being addressed, but yeah, reduce the amount of newbies and/or people who obviously don't have their heads into the game. In particular, newbies should not be able to more-or-less wipe the playing field of the most feared players in the span of 2 nights with guns blazing everywhere.
5) Since it seems Fool accomplished absolutely nothing in this Mafia game, it may be a good idea to either remove that class or change it's rules to make the Fool more game-changing.
6) Never let MasterDash be a Tree again.
7) Never let Morsalbus be a Gun Launderer again.
8) And of course, above all else, the game actually needs to feel like a real game again, and not the equivalent of a Random-Events-RP with "winners" that in the end were just barely short of being hand-picked by you. Mafia mind games are meant to be done by and between the players, not the GM.
