Like to learn how to play the Yu-Gi-Oh card game? I'll be happy to teach any one that asks. If there are people that already know how to play ill be glad to duel you online and may be bet some vizz points to make it even more exciting

Some people think that the Yu-Gi-Oh card game are for kids, its for all ages, i see the card game as a chess set but played with cards instead. Theres alot of strategy thats in the game.

heres an example of the card types:

Normal monster cards
Effect monster cards
Fusion monster cards
Spell cards
Trap cards

[some times a coin or dice are played aswell, depending on what the card description has]

Both duelists start with 8000LP LP = Life Points
Once a duelist's LP reachs 0 that duelist is the loser.

Heres an example of how the duelists take there turns.

First toss a coin or both agree on who will begin.
Then shuffle your deck.
Now the first duelist takes his/her turn.
Draw Phase = player draws 1 card from there deck (Possible other actions are: Activate trap cards, quick-play spell cards, ect)

Standby Phase = If a card says to do certain things during the standby phase, do them now. (you can also resolve card effects that happen in this phase and or activate trap cards, quick-play spell cards, ect)

Main Phase 1 = you can now summon or set a monster, change your monsters battle positions, activate a card or effect and set spell cards and trap cards.

Battle Phase = Now you can attack by using your monster card here are the steps: Start step, battle step and damage step then end step.

Main Phase 2 = Possible actions in this Phase are the same as Main Phase 1.

End Phase = You end your turn and your opponent Starts from Draw Phase.

There are alot of combos that can be played in the game.

I remember this being played with 4000 lifepoints; not 8000...

Maybe because I didn't play official rules XD

true you can either play it with 4000 or 8000 life points, both players decide and should agree on it. its alot better with 8000 LP tho.
