Anyway, folks, I think for the immediate timeframe we should focus on this aspect:

If WarpStar is the Sheriff -an important if, mind you-, then this probably puts both the person he
told everyone to watch out for, and the person he stalked, into
question.

I believe that Warp was more suspicious about my rather daring comments more than me in particular; after all, supposing he was the real sheriff, wouldn't he simply command people to kill me rather than saying to keep an eye out for me?

He's already said earlier that he was trying to make himself appear to be a tree. He probably didn't want to become a target, even though he ended up being targeted regardless.

Of course, the way you phrase that question, you make it sound like you want a researcher to check on him, knowing that if he does that he will expose himself.

That point being said, I'll ask for either of the two researchers to consider these thoughts before outing oneself;

1) There are, at least, two of you.

2) There is at least one person who's rank is seemingly out in the open now that would be considered a higher-priority target, if that is indeed his rank. On the other hand...

3) If WarpStar is indeed Sheriff, we may or may not have a forger. If WarpStar is not Sheriff, then we definitely do have a forger.

4) As the other circumstances we know are more or less true regardless, then it's possible we may not even learn anything at all just from revealing him as sincerely Sheriff.

I really do not understand all these complicated new roles and how they would play into the game.

Can I get a quick explanation, in simplest terms, of what the hell is going on right now?

Basically Forger chooses a person a night. If that person dies in any way, the role is swapped with one the Forger chooses.

Bad Cop gets the opposite of what a sheriff would.
