I can play final fantasy 8 just fine just that the movie part skips but wheni go into battle the attack stuff don't show up and i can see it but i can still use but y isn't it showing up someone help please it also does that for final Fantasy 7 also someone help me please a.s.a.p. thanks

It sounds to me to be a problem with your emulator and/or system. What emulator are you using? I've found that pSX Emulator works fine with both FFVII and FFVIII. Try downloading the newest version (1.13) at the link below.

If it still doesn't work with then I think the problem might be your system. What are the specs of your PC? It could be a problem with your video card. Try making sure you have the newest drivers and also update Direct X (Helps sometimes)
