I'm having trouble with disc 2 of the Shenmue ISOs. I burned the disc, popped it into my DC, and it starts like a normal disc, but the title screen is just black.
I was able to navigate to the load screen and load my game from the end of disc 1. The game starts, but the graphics are glitchy, like strange bars or the sky reflecting the ground. Also, when I press pause, the pause screen does not appear, but the game does pause. When I am prompted to press a button, like in a fight, the button does not show up on the screen (so it is very difficult to progress further then the first fight).
I burned the image onto a Memorex CD-R. I've burned other games too, including Shenmue disc 1, and they all work fine. I've downloaded the files for disc 2 multiple times, and I've burned the disc multiple times and nothing seems to work. I'm not sure if the brand of CD would make any difference considering disc 1 worked on the same brand.
I was wondering if this is a common problem, or if there are any troubleshooting things I can do.
