hey guys, i have just downloaded all the parts for the legend of dragoon and i am up to the point where i have four files cd1 of 4, cd2 of 4, cd3 of 4, cd4 of 4 but i cant extract them any further and i dont think i have the right emulators to play them could you please tell me what to do, i fell like the biggest nub but im still new to this so thanks for the help.

Well, I think you may be missing the bios file. It should be called something like "SCPH1001.bin" and is needed for most PS emus to load correctly. Just do a quick google search on "SCPH1001.bin" and you should find it. If it still doesn't work then you should try pSX instead (can be found on the emulator page) it doesn't have as high compatibility but works without messing with lots of plugins.

EDIT: I just looked it up and it seems legend of dragoon has problems with most emulators. You best bet seems to be to either get an mod chipped ps 1 or 2. Or you could load it with pSX+PAL bios and hope for the best. :/

Are you on a Mac or PC???

What you need to do is make a folder, put all the files to the game in it, then extract the first file and you should be able to get it working. Unless of course the emulator isn't working right.

Emulators never work 100% probably, from what I've tried I get lots of choppyness but I'm on a Mac and emulation support for mac's are weak.

As old as PS1 is, the emulators still lack combatibility with games in places. Geez.. just go buy a PS1 from cashconverters (or your countrys equivilant 2nd hand shop). Would be < $20 easy.

Well I know the dreamcast you just simply burn a boot disc, and a lot of the dreamcast "backup" games are self booted so you don't even need a boot disc. To bad the Playstation wasn't that easy

No, Self Booting is when the game just plays automatically, nothing required. Most backed up Dreamcast games, you don't need to swap discs, no modding or anything, just put the burnt game in and that's it, plays exactly like the real thing.

i got it to work thanks for all the help u guys are legends but ive come across another problem towards the end of cd 1 when u beat Freugal in hellena it freezes no matter what, ive made another two cds incase there was an error in burning and i downladed all the isos again but it still freezes ohh well i make it work somehow thanks for all the help again

i play it on the pSX_1_13 dont worry ive past it i just reloded it it until it worked and i got the same problem at the very last battle agains doel where i didn the same thinkg reload it until it works so far i havent had trouble on the second cd
