While Sora has a better personality (Thanks to his voice), I feel as though I more connected with Link. His voicelessness make me feel as though I am Link as though I was actually in Hyrule or where ever stopping Moblins and stiff!

And, if worse came to worse, Link could always use psychological warfare by having Navi chant 'Hey! Listen!' in Sora's ear until he goes completely insane.

In my honest opinion it would be sora mainly because i remember kingdom hearts 1 when you could kill Sephiroth and i dont think Link is as good but would love to see them both in a game together.
