I tend to enjoy playing the Pikmin games, but I was never so good at it.  I am willing to give it another shot.  I have realized that they put some Pikmin things in the Mii Plaza (hats and a picture).  It just looks corny to see that there are Pikmin things on the 3DS when there is not a game recently out yet.  I understand that Metroid is also in the Mii Plaza too, but I think that they are starting to either make a 3DS game of it or put the old Metroid games on the eShop.  As for Pikmin, there is no game of this that can be on the eShop.  I was looking at a site and it is said that they might make it or make it on the Wii or Wii U.  Here is the link:

I've never played Pikmin 2, mainly because it's pretty darn expensive wherever I see it, but I have played the first Pikmin, and even though I didn't finish the game (was pretty close though), I did really enjoy the sense of having to complete your objective by getting as many parts to your ship as possible in a day cycle and GTFO or else your lost Pikmin are finished. When I heard of this new Pikmin game, I was pretty excited. Hoping to get a 3DS soon so I can get this before it comes out.

Oh, I absolutely love Pikmin. It is definitely a one of a kind game. To me, if Age of Empires and Lemmings fell in love, got married, and had a little video game baby, that baby would be Pikmin. It is just so adorably addicting. Those mischievous little alien beings just never fail to make me smile. I love those little guys. Any new installments is a positive for me.

I LOVE Pikmin! It is like the greatest game ever! My #1 favorite game of all time! Pikmin 3DS would be awesome, but I don't think they will really make a Pikmin game for the 3DS. They are, however, making a Pikmin game (most likely titled Pikmin 3) for the Wii U.

I would like a Pikmin game on 3DS, however, I'm not sure this is really in devolpment. There's a Pikmin game in devolpment for Wii U, so I'm not sure they would be making two games in the series together. I'm not saying they can't make two games in one series at once, it just wouldn't make sense for Pikmin.
