I set up more lights for the house.  Looking very Christmasy.

We made christmas cookies today! Yum.

8 Days Till Christmas!

We actually got our tree late this year, but it is pretty nice looking in our new addition portion of the house.

7 days till Christmas. I love the anticipation of Christmas, songs on the radio, decorations, it's all great.

I like Christmas, but I am not a fan of how in your face EVERYWHERE is about it. Stores shoving sales in your face, people going overboard with decorations just so they can be like "Look at MY house!", people getting all pissy when people say happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas (they are just trying to make sure more people are included). Sorry, I was listening to the radio on my way to work, and some people were ridiculous. Radio commercials all stores trying to make it all about sales and money. Interviews with people who have such bad attitudes about how they think their house is better than everyone else, which means they love Christmas more. Interviews with people ranting about people not saying Merry Christmas. I love Christmas. But there are other holidays during this time of the year that are special. Why can't they be allowed to be included?

I trying to find a way to make a good layout to put into shop but need to find out WHY the code is not working.

6 DAYS LEFT TILL CHRISTMAS

It is getting so close to Christmas.  This week is going to be so stressful now.

6 days until Christmas and all through the house not a creature will be stirring not even a mouse.


My work I dare say will be filled with bad cheer as people arrive late eyes dripping with tears
 
"Deadlines are due!"  our supers all cry. "Clients will sue or have coronaries and die!"

Reports must be filed and stations all cleared before before this Saint Nick is allowed to wear his fake beard.

At midnight our UPS will crackle and break, the smell of ozone tells us what is at stake.

We hurriedly set in motion disk and hardware, carefully burning we take great care.



Early morning comes all backups complete. We have finished our work, truly a amazing feat!



Come day break we will rush to our cars and cheerfully bray "Screw you work but thanks for the double pay".

 

Yay, 6 day! But  I had some depressing news. I found out that my hometown is going to have a blizzard tonight and tomorrow giving them over 25 inches of snow. It hasn't snowed that much there since I was in 1st grade, and the next time it happens is when I can't enjoy it. That was the best snowday of my life last time. And there is still no snow where I live right now.

Just to add more sadness to the weather here, we are getting a LOT of cold rain. Some roads are starting to flood. A big bucket of *ugh*.

Rain came back and tomorrow I'll have my driving lesson... I am a bit worried, I hope nothing bad will happen on the road.
