Davideo7 :   I think the reason you only won third place is because you had too many Packers players.  Since the Packers had a bad game in the playoffs of fantasy it cost you the championship.

trouble982 : He did have the ability to win it though.

If he would've played BenJarvus Green-Ellis instead of Michael Bush, he would've earned an extra 4 points

If he would've played Rob Bironas instead of Nick Novak, he would've earned an extra 5 points

That would've been an extra 9 points and since he lost by 8 points, that would've been enough to make him win

Not to mention there were players that week he could've drafted to his team that could have helped him to win also.

Also, he only made 2 trades that week (and 1 of the trades was for a defense that he didn't play that week), he normally makes more trades than that during a week.  I think he wanted to keep the game close and wanted to still get a lot of points to add to his overall point count but he still appeared to have allowed you to win.

Basically. I just didn't want to completely "throw" it and have an even lower rank.

I was realistically aiming to lose by 10-15 points, so I was kind of surprised I got as close as I did.

Either way. It's done. The plan I went in with backfired, and I faced a tougher opponent than I could handle in the first round. Had I faced him in a later round, maybe I would have had a better chance. We won't truly ever know.

Anyway, looks like my first season of football went pretty well. Memo to self - Do not draft poorly again.

legacyme3 : With fantasy football, the smallest things can have a big impact.  For example, the week I lost in the playoffs, I had an RB on the bench that scored a TON of points and if I had played him that week, I would've won the super bowl.  It's stuff like that which makes decision making really hard lol.
