I agree with everybody else that the electric guitar is one of my favorites, I only picked what I did because I have many favorites.

I would normally say electric guitar, not because its what I play but because it is an exceptionally diverse instrument. A problem, for me, with a lot of instruments is that the tonal ranges are limited to an octave to two octaves, whereas an electric guitar can easily cover up to 12 octaves, depending on how it is tuned. As well, depending on the type of electric guitar, its pickups, and the amplifier, you could theoretically get every single sound under the sun (especially with pedals). It is a generally easy to transport instrument as well. However, just to be different, i will not say it for once...

I ultimately will have to say the organ though because of not only a good organ having a minimum of 5 solid octaves of pure power, but it is a very reliable instrument. An electric guitar requires much more maintenance, and if the player uses valve amplifiers much more expensive to maintain top tonal quality.

How about Tenor Sax? How about any sax, at all? I like the sound they make. And I only mention Tenor sax because I have a friend who plays that, so I decided to specify.

My favorite instruments to play are the Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Recorder. I've skillfully played each instrument from 3-12th grade.

Now my favorite sounding instruments are the Flute, Piano, and the Violin. Every time I hear a song involving one or all instruments mentioned, it gives me chills. The sound is so serene and puts me in a peaceful state of mind.

Mine Is the drums I find them to be a great instrument.
Plus a lot of the guys who play them are really hot!

I like to play....Violin and Guitar.....mainly.

I'm partial to the flute, as that's what I play in band as well as jazz band, so.. 
But without my bias, I'd say my favorites are electric keyboards (I have an old Casio keyboard which I love to pieces) and all of the saxophones, soprano, alto, tenor, and so on, I wish I had talent with saxophones, but alas I do not.

Probably a mix of an Electric Guitar and Violin, Nya~. Many great songs that I have listened to tend to have one of those two, or both of instruments included in it, Nya~.

My favorite instruments would be trombone and piano, just because they are what I played as a kid, and because I still own both of them .

Well, I play guitar, drums, and piano, and out of all of those, I think guitar is my favorite. It just feels like guitar allows any player to just express his/her feelings more through it because if its wide variety of tones.

Trumpet! It's what I play, and I love the loud sounds it makes. It sounds amazing in a full band.

I think I prefer drums and guitar, although either one is really fine.

I know this is going to sound kind of redundant but I love the guitar. I love all the amazing music you can make with it.

Other instruments I really love are the cello for it's powerful and versatile music you can make with it as well as the oboe. I've loved the sound even after I stopped playing it for school band.

My favorite instrument would be the bass guitar. I love the low tones, and the slapping action. I always enjoyed playing bass.

My favorite instrument of all time has definitely got to be the electric guitar. I never get sick of the sounds it makes. It's just amazing. Also, a tie with with bass. Bass is just amazing sounding. I love it. If I were to learn one, it'd be bass, though. Haha.

My favorite instrument is the guitar - electric lead, specifically. I have one.. trying to learn how to play but I haven't made very much progress. I guess it helps that I have a severe lack of motivation with life in general.

I always did like the violin and guitar. But the guitar is way too hard for me to play. I need something easier to play first before going to that. Perhaps an ocarina ?

My favorite instrument have to be the drums, because they always make good beat for a song. My other one have to be the piano, because you could create good songs from piano.

My favourite has to be the Electric Guitar, more specifically the Gibson Les Paul. I love the iconic rounded design of the axe and the sound it makes is just unreal

Sorry if you have to copy and paste the link in.  I had some troubles 'linking it' and such.  Yeah.  I don't know if anyone else has seen August Rush, but I watched it 5 years ago.  It wasn't truly amazing for me, but the music in that movie is amazing.  I don't remember if I cried watching it or not...  I'll have to rewatch a trailer then.  Or check it out on IMDb...  

I really love to play the electric bass, I have four of them. But I wish I could play the trumpet and violin, they sound amazing.

I'm really a fan of the oboe. But that's also tied with the Piano as well. The oboe can b  a very interesting instrument when used in a song, and Piano's can make pretty beautiful songs just solo.

I'm not sure if I really have a favorite instrument. I like music in general and a lot of them sound good. If I were hypothetically to be in a band, I'd wanna be vocals. That's not really an instrument though.

I guess the closest would be guitar. Every once in a while, I get the urge to wanna learn guitar (first after playing Guitar Hero 3, then again after watching Angel Beats, then again after watching K-On). I'd like to have a blue guitar though... probably like the Fender Mustang Special (Google it). If not that, then I'd want a guitar in that color blue, but shaped like a star. That's the guitar I used in Guitar Hero and really liked it.

I'm not sure if I posted in this thread yet but my favorite instrument would probably be the drums. I currently play the bass drums so...yeah. I also like the violin because I played it for five years.

The violin or the piano will always be my favorites. There's so much versatility and both instruments are just beautiful.

I love to hear the acoustic guitar, because the sound is so pleasing to the ears. Electric guitar is close behind in my mind, only because it doesn't sound as smooth.

I absolutely have to have music with strings.

For me it is kind of like not hearing your best fiend or something.

It is also about the callus on a persons hand.
You know the person is serious about music when it can actually cause pain to even bother gracing the subject.
Overcoming people begging you to stop when you are just learning is one thing.
But actually playing till your fingers could bleed is another level all-together. ( With the exception of the piano. That is a different yet equal sacrifice.)

I can not express the admiration I have for people that learn how to play string instruments.
It is sooo painful to begin learning.
But the payoff is so beautiful... you might sell your mama's soul to hear it again.

Then again.
That's just me.
And I could be wrong.

The Acoustic Guitar. Wonderful music. So smooth. Well, except for a person that doesn't know who to play the guitar.

Guitar (any kind) and piano. Then again, I'm biased, since I play them both. Actually leaning more towards piano as of late though.

piano just listening to the music is relaxing and any troubles you may had on the day goes away

I have always liked the guitar and I also like the piano, violin and the saxophone. The sax just sounds awesome to play and I wish that I could learn to play these instruments and be more familiar with them. Once you know how to play the violin, then it becomes easier to play instruments like the base, cello and all of those types of instrument. I would really like to take piano lessons and I think that it would be awesome to learn how to play. So overall, those are my favorite instruments I wish I knew how to play or could learn.

My favorite musical instrument would have to be the recorder since it was the only instrument I know how to play although I haven't played it since the third grade.

I'd have to say my favorite instrument is the uitar because there's a lot you can do with the guitar and there's many different kinds of guitar, plus it is used in most of the songs I like.

For me, my favorite instrument would be between the bass guitar and the drums. I couldn't really pick either one as I love them both equally. I used to play the drums only for a short period of time and I enjoyed it while it lasted. My favorite bands are Tool and A Perfect Circle (my username, right?) because of the magnificent bass play and drums. I think they have one of the best bass players of all time and only Neil Peart from Rush would surpass Tool's (but then again NOBODY is better than Neil Peart on the drums). Ever since I was a little kid I found myself beating something to the beat of the drums or just listening to an instrumental from a bass guitar. I love music in general, though.
