I hate school I just want to have a never ending fever with no end

Well, that sucks, really. Personally, I'd prefer to get in a car crash instead of going to school, but really, in reality, school is a much more reasonable choice to pick instead of picking the car crash choice. =P

I am fine with school. Since I finished my gen eds a few years ago, I am taking classes that are only in the field I have interest in, so that makes it better. But before that, I was not a fan of college.

At times school can be fun but there are times when school can be a living hell.

I honestly miss school. Homework isn't fun, but school overall was a lot more fun than work will be. I'm still in college, but once that's over I'll probably miss it a lot. Just deal with the homework and appreciate it while you still have it.

Like I said in my other thread, school can be fun, but it can be a pain most of the time. Yes, I said most.

Ok whoa. I work two jobs and take care of kids, for the love of god I wish on everything I was back in highschool, or even college would be fun. School is easy, you sit in a desk and listen. If you cant do that along with some reports and worksheets... well then you should soon start planning to get on assistance because people like that are useless.... But from the perspective that you face I guess I can tone my opinion down and say I didnt like school myself . Once it's all over you will wish you could go back.

Not true. That is extremely not true. Some, rare, but it happens, who actually drops out for a GOOD reason tends to be successful in life later on. School, honestly, can be Hell for some. They'd choose to go to hell before going back to school.

It's a severe issue when someone wants to physically harm themselves before going to school, or wish something bad would happen to them before going to school. True, school may be fun... For some. School is not for everyone, it is for some. Some other endures it, but a small portion of that part collapses and drops out. While it may be true that getting a high school diploma can greatly help you in the future, some people find it not worth it, and actually do find something else to do for their life.

So, please refrain from calling EVERYONE who drops out of school, is planning to drop out, or wants something to happen to them before going to school "useless". I took that as a personal insult to myself, because I've had all those things happen to me and I'm not useless.

Like many other people, school hasn't just been a living hell. It has been a living nightmare. I've been physically attacked at school so much, I have a phobia of crowds. I feel like someone will just come out and randomly attack me.


Everyone has their reasons for dropping out. However, it isn't up to you to judge if those people are useless or not. People decide their own paths for a reason. Whether that reason is "right" or "wrong" doesn't matter. We do what we want with our lives. Even if I were to never get a job ever in my life, would I be useless?

I think not. Even without a job, I could be a friend to someone else; a shoulder to cry on; someone to talk to when times are tough. Despite my lack in faith of humanity as a whole, I did at least have a friend who was like that. He doesn't have a job, he too had dropped out of school and was even living by himself as early as 14 (Which is extremely rare, but possible). I do not think for a second he was worthless because of his lack of education.

you people take stuff the wrong way

It is kind of hard to take it any other way when you word it so poorly. You need to find a way to let people know if you mean something in a serious way or not.

i understand why everyone hates school. i have just come to settle on one fact. we HAVE TO go. untill 16. and if you don't even learn anything, school is just a waste of 12 years. so im being a sponge and soaking up as much as possible.

My school is hell...its a terrible place to be and a place were people get stabbed and shot a lot..(not naming the school for safety reasons) not that bad to me anymore..doesnt bother me but you know..school is school..but Memphis schools are..Memphis schools..

    Yep, school sucks. It should be a personalized thing where you get enough attention and all of your specific problems are addressed to maximize your understanding of the subject instead of having some teacher who is barely qualified and only does that job for the money because they couldn't get a better job after 4-8 years of college  stand up in the front of a room and teach (lecture) generally to the entire class and not check to see if they actually understand the subject. But sadly, that would be impossible unless everyone child could afford a personal tutor for all subjects. Not only would that be expensive, but there wouldn't be enough tutors in the world for that.   
   But sadly, it is necessary. If you don't go to school, then people won't want to hire you for a job anywhere. Even places like McDonald's, which everyone assumes they are too good to work for, would be hesitant to higher someone who didn't pass high school. And they would definitely choose someone who at least graduated from high school over someone who didn't even graduate from high school. And like I hear many people say, "A High School Diploma is a Ticket to Nowhere". Today isn't the same as when our parents graduated from high school. When they graduated from high school they were more qualified to do many more things than we could do now with a diploma. But now, in many cases, you still might not get anywhere even with a college degree which is sad considering how much money you have to put into your advanced education without knowing if it will pay off. When the economy picks up though, those people will be able to get jobs again and businesses will might not be as picky and more loose in hiring. But in a time when we need to cut unnecessary workers and keep the people that we know will do their jobs well, not only will you be unable to get a job, but you will probably be the first in the line of workers to be laid off.  In today's society, school is necessary and you won't be able to live decently without it unless you or your parents have great connections that will enable you to get a nice job no matter how crappily you do in school or how bad thee economy is.
