Pokemon never had a main game for a console. Colosseum, Pokepark, Rumble, these are all side games. Pokemon isn't going to put a real game on the Wii, because that is redundant to the purpose of picking up and playing your game anywhere. I don't see your logic at all.

Earthbound Wii does sound like a good idea, however, I think a mother 1+2+3 collection in a 3d remake for the 3ds sounds better. The psi attacks would be so cool! The only problem is, Nintendo doesn't care about the good series, so this will never be. T_T They think all the stupid new crap they've been making is good, and neglecting all the games that are really good!! Stupid Nintendo of america!!... sorry. I'm passionate about e-bound.

Nintendo isnt confident in releasing another Mother in the US due to Earthbound horrible sales and they also got into a bit of legal trouble with earthbound, though there arent many people outside the earthbound fanbase who know that. It's the same reason with why they wont release Earthbound on virtual console.

The main reason they made Kid Icarus uprising was because of the popularity of Pit. Also, Nintendo did not develope Kid Icarus Uprising. Sora, ltd. which is the company created by Masahiro Sakurai was the company that made it.  So it would still be up to nintendo and not Sora ltd. Either way nintendo isnt making Mother for the wii, unless shigesato itoi were to come up with the idea that another should be made. If they did make mother for the wii I doubt they would release it in america.

I kind of agree with tj4bigred I think Earthbound would work much better as a handheld game, these days tv set games tend to be for graphics, action, shock factors, explosions, loud music/ sounds and over the top flashing lights. Earthbound is more casual, layed back, nostalgic graphic wise and something to just whack out whenever you fancy a bit of earthbound really.

If Nintendo could they would make earthbound for the virtual console, but they would get sued. There are just too many changes that would need to be made so they wont get sued. The creator of Earthbound I think is the only one that lost interest in the Mother series. There still is hope for true Earthbound fans because some people are making a part 4, but it is not going to be at regular stores.

Actually, they should make it for the Wii U, considering that's the newer console, and it would draw Mother/Earthbound fans towards the console. I never really tried Earthbound, but from what I have played, it definitely looks like a game that deserves a sequel.

Earthbound needs to be remade so newer generations can enjoy its glory. Plus I would love to see what they would change and add to this game. I'd definitely go out and buy it if they made a sequel or even remade it.
