I think leaving threads are okay if someone is leaving temporarily....

it's nice to know they are gone and won't be back for x number of months or weeks or whatever...

but I don't need to know every time someone is planning a rage quit because half the time they either come back or the thread becomes a flame fest. Waste of time on all accounts.

I know I have only been here for half a year, but I am already noticing a pattern. Those who really are leaving (more like temporarily) will summon a few friends in their post.
