Lost mine at 24 with a girl I was with for a while. Yeah, kinda late. Funny thing is that it was the night before she had her period, so it didn't feel that great for either of us, but it wasn't horrible or anything. And it was at one of her friend's place on the couch after getting back from a club/bar. Kinda risky that the friend could walk out of her bedroom straight into the living room and see us. But I don't think she'd have cared. She was probably expecting something to "happen" with us. I was glad to get the virginity loss over with. I don't have regrets about it at all. There was nothing special about who it was with. So had I lost it at a much earlier age I doubt I would have given it a second thought. To me it's just sex.

But man, her and I had some long and unique "sessions" together, not to mention quite a few of them being quite risque...

I know there has been a thread on this before, but it is no longer on the front page so I suppose there is nothing wrong with this thread. Um, I was 14. It wasn't really my choice, and no I do not talk to him.

billythekidmonster : Where are you getting your information from? Condoms are one of the only contraceptives that actually can prevent STDs. Things like the pill, depo shots, diaphragms, those things don't prevent STDs. There are literally thousands of studies proving this, so who ever told you otherwise is either ignorant or lying to you.

Elara : Well they do not block some STD's like my friend who got AIDS and herpes, (he gets around), but he always used condoms and they never broke or anything like that.

I meant to say they do not stop all STD's.

billythekidmonster : No offense... but if he was actually using a condom (correctly), it is highly unlikely that he could catch those diseases... especially AIDS. Most people contract HIV, not full blown AIDS. I do hope he is no longer "getting around" if he has those two particular diseases though, because it sounds like he either lies about using protection or doesn't have a clue how to do it and therefore is capable of spreading the diseases.

You are correct though, they do not prevent all STDs, but they do significantly reduce the risk of getting them or of causing pregnancy. The rest is common sense... like not sleeping with people that have those diseases in the first place.

I only checked out a few profiles just to see if what I am saying is true or not. Did not look at everyone's profiles, but enough that I think I can say I am likely the oldest virgin posting on this thread. I am closing in on 24 years old, and I am still a virgin. I did have opportunities, but I simply didn't take them. I am very glad that I decided not to those times because I have been with my fiancée for over 5 years now. We have been living together for over 3 years, been engaged for a year and a half, and it still hasn't happened. The topic has been brought up, and we decided that while we are in college, we don't want to even have the slightest chance of having a baby. We would rather wait until at least one of us graduated college and got a position somewhere. She actually graduated in May and already started teaching 1st grade. I am finishing up school at the end of 2012. But it hasn't happened yet because we already set a wedding date next June, so we though that since we have waited over 5 years already, might as well wait 10 more months to make the wedding day that much more special. I have to say though, it is very weird being a virgin, and knowing the exact date, 10 months in advance, when I will lose my virginity. 

I lost my virginity when I was 19 years old. Had a long distance relationship with a girl for over two years and we decided to meet for the first time in person (granted, we both shared pictures and skyped a lot).

Anywho, about a week being up at her place; we eventually done our business.

I don't regret doing it.

I lost my virginity the night after prom in my sophomore year of high school.  My boyfriend was a senior at the time so he was able to take me to prom even though I wasn't a Junior or Senior.  We were too tired on prom night so we had to wait for the next day. >.<

I haven't yet, actually. I don't mind. I'm in no hurry. Most of my friends regret their first time and I don't want that to happen to me, too. 

Nope and I'm 17 but if things go according to plan I'm loosing it this weekend (fingers crossed).

billythekidmonster : Well it’s not something that I look back on fondly because I was barely a teenager. It was a mistake at that time there’s no doubt about it although I don’t preach it is something I regret. I’ve said it before on this site and I will say it again, my teen years were not my best period of life. This was one of those errors in judgment that I talk about from time to time.

I was engaged twice before I hit twenty. My first was with my first ex if you could call it that. I kept in touch with her for a time but as years past and environments changed we lost touch after a while. This was primarily due to the fact that I was in a different state than she was. There’s no bad feelings, I just think it was bad timing and a part of several errors in judgment which made my teen years something I regret frankly.

Well, I'm a homosexual, therefore technically I'm still a virgin.

YourMajestyKen : I never even knew that about you... but that is fine I am open to that kind of stuff. Technically if you have had sex with a guy, it still counts. Well in my book.

23 now but 14 at the time and I lost it with my girlfriend at the time who was the same age. Was pretty awkward as we had done everything else just not the main "party-piece" to put it nicely haha

Your pretty lucky if your first time goes well to be honest, mine was more like an over the top fumble to begin with but ended up going better than most first times go I'm guessing. Just don't worry about it and it usually end up going fine and more importantly don't feel like you are being forced into it or it would probably put you off even trying to have sex again in the future for a while

Every person to their own beliefs I guess but on the same(ish) subject, I don't think people should  take sex seriously. I also don't believe you have to be absolutely in love with somebody to have sex with them either, that's just how the world works I guess, its natural

I think the only people who do take sex really serious are virgins, funny but it's true. Sex is just a normal healthy part of being an adult and in my opinion a lot of people take it waaaaay too seriously

Just my opinions though

I'm 21 and I haven't lost it. Technically speaking, probably never will. I'm gay too. If you want to argue that part, I've never been with a guy either. I'm not open about being gay with everyone yet. About 10 or 12 people know. Three of them guessed it, but that doesn't really bother me.

I probably will wait until I'm open with everyone. By then, my brother will have picked someone out for me. He enjoys trying to be a matchmaker.
