In a game I'm going to be making soon I'm making up my own game Genre and I need an opinion which sounds better. Here are the following to options and their meanings:

REAL
realistic
environments
and
lifelike

or

RALE
realistic
and
lifelike
environments

Basically this Genre would be a game that's realistic. In other words, most of the laws that apply to our world would apply to the game's world. Of course it's impossible for a game to be 100% realistic, but it would be somewhat close.

For example, a game that doesn't have magic and mp but rather would have abilities and energy. A game world where there's night and day, the character is limited to being able to do things that we can do in our world, etc.

Also, the word could be placed in front of another Genre like this:

REAL RPG (a realistic rpg)
RALE RPG

REAL Platform (realistic platform)
RALE Platform

REAL Action/Adventure
RALE Action/Adventure

REAL 1st Person Shooter
RALE 1st Person Shooter

...you get the point. Anyway, give me idea's as to which sounds better or if you can think of something of your own that would sound better. Also, tell me what you guys think of the idea all together.

Rale is better beacouse it is Original.

That has been done before tough, in quite a lot of games really. But if you really want to go trough with it I would probably call it... REAL. Just because acronyms should combine into words.

It's been done with only a few games, not many...infact, name them, I bet you can't think of more than 5 (of course, you might be visualizing something totally different than I am). And basically this would be just a way to better classify the games, the game I'm making would be based on this idea and genre.

Just like how Shenmue created a new Genre, it could still fall under other Genre's but it's true Genre was FREE.

I like RALE, its more not like any other genre.
GTAA was pretty REAL though.

GTA falls short of being REAL but it's very close. GTA though, you're not really able to collect many items, can't really interact with everyone, and only the most recent one do you actually have some sort of stats.

That was GTA-SA, GTA Liberty City Stories, it went back and took a bunch of that stuff out. GTA-SA was best by far.

A game like Fable would be REAL if it were perhaps not all magic and stuff. *Checks book on what to say* I would say I don't like lifelike enviornments,because it's drab. Real life is cruddy, its the fantasy that makes it good. GTA is good and all with the able to do pretty much anything, but I still wish you could instead of bustin' a cap instead charge a firebolt and melt someones face. Na'mean?

For some reason I'm some kind of freak because I honestly don't enjoy playing games where you go around killing random people with insane amount of gore. Life is filled with so much that most people will never get to enjoy, a game that gives you the opportunity to do these things, and so much more, would be a great game if it were done in an entertaining way.

It's like watching a movie that isn't sci-fi or fantasy (basically a realistic movie) - it's entertaining to watch even if it's possible. Or how a comedy can turn an ordinary supper table or school room into entertainment/humor.

Blood adds an extra realism to the game. People say it adds violence, but hello, im running around with a sword chopping people up??
If I slash someone, I like to see a blood splatter as to where we assume it would be. Same with shooting games.
