I think about 28 hours is my limit. I've hit a few times in the last month, and my body just shuts itself down at that point. I salute the rest of you who can do longer.

Well the longest I've not slept for is at least 116 hours.  I know it is at least this amount because I've not slept for about 4 1/2 days on a few occasions.

I've never really counted the hours as when it does happen it's usually out of my control and i just can't sleep. I think there has been one occasion when I've purposefully stayed up this long. Other times it's just either I've become infatuated with a game or a cartoon. Or basically i can't sleep.

Staying awake in my opinion is all about stimulation of the brain as such... Energy drinks help keep your glucose levels up. So you still have energy to move. Then all you have to do is try and cope with the highs and low's of lack of sleep. Which get worse the longer you stay awake xD

Anyways me not sleeping is extremely bad for my health as the chance of me having an epileptic fit increase with lack of sleep... It's not an actual fact it's just a pattern i have noticed as i record every time I've had one.. It's like 50% of my overall fits have happened whilst i haven't slept in that 24 hour period. The sad thing is i don't want to take any more medications or anything alike considering i'm actually rather worried about taking medication i haven't had before..... Anyways this is off the point (i'm sorry)

odd fact: I can't actually drink the energy drink relentless any more... I've drank so much of it and my body now basically has a negative reaction to it, i sweat. I  get all ill. Basically I'd compare it to withdrawal symptoms... My body just cant cope... Oddly enough any other brand of energy drink is fine......

I'd say 20 hours at best. I thought that was a long time, but looking at the rest of you I guess I have it pretty easy, don't I?

2 days. One night spent working on assignments, the next day spent being dragged around by my friend who enjoyed having a sleep deprived version of me in his company. Then I went to train at night.

The longest I have stayed up -straight- is three days. I didn't just sleep for a long time when I finally got to sleep either. My sleep came in a pattern of one hour of sleep every eight to nine hours for a week. Then it slowly got more regular until I started sleeping eight hours a night again. Thankfully that hasn't happened since. Being sleep deprived at all just sucks.

The longest I've stayed awake has probably been around 39 hours. I could go for a lot longer but I don't like the the horrible side effects that comes along with no sleep.

I used to  live on 32 hour days. That is, I'd stay up for about 24 hours, then sleep for eight to ten hours. It was fun. I recon I could probably still do that, but it's much harder now that I'm older, due to other real life reasons. The longest I've EVER stayed up was just touching on 80 hours. I don't remember the time I woke up that first day, or the time I went to bed the last morning. Or really anything that happened. I just got bored and couldn't think of anything else to do, so I just up and went to bed. Recently I stayed up for about 30 hours and was finding it difficult to stay awake, mostly from boredom and dreading having to go back to work on a messed up sleeping schedule.

In high school two friends and I stayed up for over three days just to see how long we could make it, and to test the properties of Surge.  Surge was a mountain dew clone in the 90's for those who don't know.  A soda which, according to our dedicated research, will turn your pee a very disturbing shade of green.  It should be noted that during this adventure we also set several Super Mario Kart records which still stand to this day.  My crowning achievement was with Donkey Kong on one of the ghost house tracks sometime in the delirious early morning hours of the third day.  I  remember this because I woke my friends mom and got us yelled at when I broke the record and had to have a victory shout.

Longest I've gone without sleep?
WELL.

I woke up one day, went to work, and then headed to a friend's place in another town for my next two days off.
They had rented Mortal Kombat vs DC for PS3. People give that game a bad rap, but I actually really liked it. Especially when me and two friends powered through the DC storyline part of it over the course of the whole night. (we had the difficulty set pretty high)

Then when morning came, the three of us went to get celebratory breakfast....Somewhere. It starts getting hazy here.

But later that day, I had to help another friend's dad move a bunch of firewood from one place to another. The manual labour helped keep me energized. (I was a big adrenaline junkie then. Whenever I was feeling down in any way, I would just go for a run and feel amazing)

THAT evening, a friend rented a fun snowboarding game for PS3 (can't recall the name at all) and we played it on his HD projector and giant wall. We played that a good few hours before a big thunderstorm hit and we turned everything off, just in case the power went. (it did, for a few hours) We stayed up all that night, talking and boozing.

Well... I hit the booze pretty hard, BUT, I didn't pass out! Or sleep!

Managed to stay up the night.... And then slept pretty much the entire day.

Good times.

Well, I was about to say GradNight, but then remembered that I wasn't awake the full 24+ hours because I actually ended up having my first gagging/fainting episode and fell asleep for like a half hour in order to feel better. So I think my longest consecutive time awake would be about 21-22 hrs, just recently (long game of risk). Yet my sleeping schedule is only being affected by last night when I was up till 4 (had to finish a report that I kind of forgot about ). Ended up sleeping Tuesday after classes at 6pm. Been up now for a couple hours, don't have class until 10am. I'm usually asleep for another 4 hrs. What to do....?

I hit a new record a few weeks ago: 44 hours. I went to work, came home, went to school, came home again, and stayed up all night so that I could sleep during the day and do it all again.

Went two weeks like that before my night job laid me off. I don't miss it.

1 week 3 days 2 hours. Adrenaline pills, energy drinks, and lots of food. I was spawn camping a rare monster in World of Warcraft. I went to the doctors after sleeping for 20+ hours and found that I had almost had a heart attack with all of the stuff I pumped into my body.

My record was 6 years ago when I was 12, I was forced to stay awake in a hospital as my left arm was broken and the only thing that could be done was change some bones for metal. Not only was I incredibly intrigued at the prospect of becoming Edward Elric but the meds I was given and the screaming people around me didn't let me go to sleep.

Forgot to mention the record... I went in the hospital on Monday morning around 2 and left on Saturday night around 8. It was the worst experience of my life ever and I slept for 3 days straight without even knowing it as soon as I touched the couch at home. I woke up after all that and just wanted to go to school.

Well, the most I stayed awake was about... 37-8 hours? DAMN I'M COOL!

But really, I only went to sleep at those times because I was bored and had nothing to do. I never really tested how far I can go without sleep, but I could last a while. Maybe 3-4 days. Well, next time I have a big weekend I may as well try. ;P

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
