Prayer. What is prayer some people ask. As my pastor always said prayer is simply talking to God. How much time do you take out of you day to pray? Is just before you go to bed at night, or is it when you're in a jam? Regardless, we as a whole do not pray enough. And when we pray most the to time we pray for selfish needs, but do we ever thank God for what he has already done. I won't to leave you all with a message that I think you might need to here.

2012. I here a lot of that "mumbo-jumbo" outside my home and sometimes within it. The Lord said that no man can foretell the future fo he could not bear the pain. The Bible says Jesus doesn't even no when judgement will occur but only the father. How does this coexsist with prayer you may be wondering? As I said before we are a selfish people and prayer only when we think something will effect us, most of the time, but there is a good set out there that praise the Lord and do right because they fear. There is a good set of Jobs out there that live to worship and worship to live. My question is. Among you who read this thread, are you one of those Jobs? Do you fear God? Do you live to prasie him each and everyday of your life? If so, you know the Lord said he'll leave you nor forsake you. You'd also know that he said he'd never flood the earth again but cast into the fire. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. I'm gonna' preach on this here today.

God is a merciful God. Am I right? He has given dawn to our race, and we take it for granted. It's time that we stop for a sec. and recognize the Lord. Lift our hands way above our heads and tell him thank you. When we pray we must recognize the Lord for he is too good to us to not be told--- thank you. We must understand that without God there would be no me(you). We must realize that God put on this earth for a reason, and as soon as we can realize that, we can begin to grow to an understanding of what it truely means to saved. I see people walkin' around sayin' they are saved but yet they swear and steal. Worse than that some of steal of the Lord. I've being talking to much. I'm going to put this to an end with a few words and a song that I want you to sing to yourself.

In live we must learn to fear God and live right, or we aren't goning to make it. We have to learn that God is the cure to everthing. Was a time when people knew God and they fear him, but then they began to lose sight of God at the dawn of newer technology. My words to the lot of you is. Don't lose sight of first place and settle for second because as long as you do that you will continue to wonder why am I here. Why did I start if I wasn't even going to finish.

Take of this short verse of a song and add your on story to it and remember it for ever. Pray not for selfish things, but pray for others sometimes. And another thing. Don't spoil the prize by settling for something else.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 states 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

We shouldn't be choosing when we pray because we should never stop praying. We should be thanking God for everything, and just generally telling him about our day. I agree with you 100% that we tend to pray "hardest" when we are in a tough situation and we need something, or when everything is going good and we say thank you. We need to remember that we need to say thank you even when things are tough, and pray for your needs even when you think you can handle them.

Nice article on prayer there! Yes prayer is a very important thing in daily life but I do not think that I could write an article like that on it.
