nudity is fine i think. video games are like new movies. theyre movies that u can play. i found it funny that the gta iv dlc had a wiener in it. but if they took the time to model it, y not. its harder to model than to make nipple pixels on a woman. i could imagine in the gta credits, wiener modeller haha.

Dont like nudity? Dont buy the game. Dont like porn? Dont buy pornos, definetely dont buy pornos and complain about nudity. Its not like theyre showing hardcore porn in games, a flash of nudity here and there isnt going to harm anyone mature. Game ratings are there for a reason.

Kah. Digging things up because I spent god knows how long reading through this whole thread.

Perhaps it's my bohemian mentality paired with my upbringing, perhaps not, but I don't really see what the big deal is about game nudity. : | Maybe it's part of the story, maybe that part is obscure, maybe it's a character quirk. There's a whole world of reasons for why someone might end up naked in a game that you're playing, and quite frankly, I'm not fond of the idea of stifling that, especially not when it's hasn't been put there for vulgar purposes.

I'm a fan of teaching your kids what things are, rather than sheltering them, and especially here in the US, oversheltering is a huge problem. The amount of censorship I see on a day-to-day basis is appalling. Words, gestures, benign images, a little blood. Of course there is a limit to what ought to be available to the 'family' audience, but there's a certain point where there's so little of the original content that it's wholly embarrassing.

Most games aren't even geared to a 'family' audience to begin with, and being naked is just a part of life. Sex is fine, too. I'm not particularly interested in things considered "hardcore", so I'm not going to be getting pornographic things like that, whether game, movie, or otherwise, but I'm not going to condemn the idea just because I don't care for it. If I run into it somewhere, I ignore it. It's pretty simple, really.

Maybe, maybe I feel this way about in-game nudity because of the way I view the human form. I'll admit I'm fond of it, but I am so from an artist's perspective, not from a sexual standpoint. And, honestly, in some contexts, it's just bloody funny. I use it for a good chuckle in writing sometimes.

But nudity. So what? As long as it's not obviously pandering to any audience (most commonly male, unfortunately), then I don't care. If it is, it'll annoy me a little bit, but then there's the magic of ignoring it. Or, even better, making fun of it. 8D

i vote for "depends"....sometimes, some nudity can make a game better.... but i dont like it to be more than "some". for those who want many nude scenes in a game, i prefer you just watch a porn movie instead of playing games

While nudity and drug content are fine for most of us I dont think it should become the industry standard for the simple fact
that when I was a kid I didn't want to be limited to Seseme Street games.

If it's not overdone, I think it's fine. God of War one and two had some nudity in it, it worked well with the whole scenareo, not overdone. Some games hint at it, but with the way people react to anything that they don't like or observe as indecent they feel they have to do anything they can to get rid of what they see as a problem. While the rest of the sane people don't care. It's up to the person to decide if they want to play a game with nudity in it. Not someone trying to control what we can choose from.

I believe that brief nudity in video games is fine, more is ok too but unless it a porn game then its not really nessicary.

I believe that as long as we have a rating system for games, it should be just fine for games to contain rating-appropriate levels of content.

As long as a game is rated M or A/O, it should be readily apparent that there will be strong violence or sexual situations (up to and including porn-like scenes). Obviously, for example, the Sexy Beach isn't meant for children, and it is meant to be consumed by the adult market (in Japan).

I personally find it ridiculous that people would complain about hardcore sex in games as long as a ratings system exists to prevent them from seeing things that they wish not to see.

Most people will have sex at some point in their lives. Will most people execute anyone? No.

I find it a bit odd, especially considering the visceral experience offered by many "violent" video games. This realistic violence hasn't been remotely closely matched by the sexual side. It is odd that a porn-game manufacturer has not secured the rights to license the Havok(tm) physics engine for a realistic sex-sim.

Ah well...I think that as long as games are to mimic anything real, sex is important as it is, after all, required for human survival as a species...n'est pas?

I agree with Cuddleskunk, if there's a rating system, people should know about what's in the game.

People always complain about there being violence in their childrens video games, but who bought them the game?

I say go ahead and put nudity in games, it won't hurt anybody. If parents freak out about it, then they probably shouldn't have bought their kid the game in the first place.

Well I say don't have sex in video games, thats not place for it LOL. It is kinda unfittable for an ordinary game, since it is not about that. But for nudity I don't see why not? There is nothing bad in that one. It is totally natural. Also p[eople not gonna turn into wid sex machines because they saw nudity in a game. If someone is a freaky pervert, well thats something which is in your personality, and nudity seeing have no effect on that. Nudity is fully OKAY in a game. No need to block such thing. Haveing sex in a game should only be in it if it is really reqiuered in it or if the game is about that.

But your statement there is kinda inaccurate. Personally, I was offended by the way Yunalesca was dressed in FFX and how Fran was dressed in FFXII and etc. etc. etc. I could probably name a character in all of the games that I play that I'd like to see more clothes on. I bought the games because I like to play RPGs, not because I wanted to see some nudity. [/end reply to Aydan =p]

Although, I agree with the people saying a little bit is fine. Give it an "M" or "AO" rating and leave it at that.

I also disagree with the idea of all games being made for kids, etc. I don't care what Australia thinks, Grand Theft Auto is made for an audience far more mature than children.

i went with brief nudity cus i think its ok to have a little bit here and there but not a 5 min long sex scene. unless of corse its a sexual video game then its ok.
