No, I do not think nudity should be in a video game. Video games are supposed to be for having fun, not to sexually arouse some one.

I think video game nudity is fine if its brief. I don't mind nudity in general but if we are talking about hardcore sex, then it's not needed because it takes away from the storyline of the game and is completely pointless.

Its fine to me as long as its not like people having sex. Hardcore or not. I don't mind nudity in any sense. We were born naked. Why do we have to be clothed all the time? I kinda have the nudist mindset.

I say just it's ok for a little of that stuff, like butts are always funny, and anyone who was breast fed or have studied art have seen those, but I say that's the farthest it should go. Don't actually show their, uhh, "babymakers."

On one hand I don't really have a problem with it.

On the other hand - even a lot of the people making valid reason for nudity in video games are making points that point to the idea that guys like nudity and therefore it should be in video games. I mean yeah, people get naked in real life.. but there are very few games that have a reason for nudity. An ass or a boob in the shower, yeah that's fine - if you think there's a reason to show that I guess. Sex scenes? Lots of games have those, but they are usually limited.. that's a good thing really.

Games are a social thing, and frankly if one thinks that its edgy by throwing in a bunch of nudity and sex - I don't feel comfortable playing it around other people... same thing happens when I watch a television show that uses oversexualization.. it's just flat out embaressing. Nudity in games isn't an issue that should be focused on really. Play devil's advocate all you want but there's not a lot of room for it.

mild nudity is fine, the whole point of a video game is entertainment but not that kind of adult entertainment. One would not go and rent a game just because of some weird lust for an video game character. Now for those of you who are completely against any nudity you must look at the times we are in today and take a good look around, there is really no avoiding it. How are you going to avoid mild nudity in video games but not stop everything else like TV, movies, or just everyday peoples fashion.

I don't think it's really that right, but maybe a little is ok I guess.

I've said this before and I will say it again. I think video games should not have it because video games are for pure fun. It is rather disappointing how sex has been brought into everything.

Nudity does not = sex. If nudity is wrong then all humans are a mistake because they are all nude under their clothes. It also depends on your definition of fun. Lots of people enjoy nudity and its fun for them that is what ratings are for

I did not mean sex just as displaying intercourse, but as arousing sexuality. Whether one wishes to acknowledge it or not, Nudity is proven to be very arousing for people, and I think video games are meant to have fun with, not for sexual arousal.

Video Games are an art form. If the designer envisions it, then it should be. Whether a brief flash, or constant exposure, video games should be free to use whichever sexual elements they want. Although the sexual elements have to be toned down if they want the game to pass under E, E10, or T. More sex could mean thinner audiences.

Brief nudity is alright, but I say that the whole "Pickup a prositute" in the GTA games is uncalled for, as well as everything hardcore, so I picked depends

seeron : How would you know if sex would take away from the story line? There have been films that came out that have depicted graphic sex and the critics given them thumbs up. It is all about how it is handled. Look at Heavy Rain. FFN from the characters and people are proclaiming it one of the best games, blah, blah.

There is a reason games have ratings, they are there to tell the user the target audience.
You'll notice that you only really see a little skin and cleavage in games ment for teens and it isnt until you look at games ment for adults that you see full on nudity and sex scenes (hardly ever unless you are playing a porn game).

apsham says "Games are a social thing" well I dont know where he gets that idea from, games were never a social thing until the recent consoles brought in a focus on multiplayer.
But even then if you look into things, most games that are multiplayer dont focus on these subjects except for a few bad examples (GTA) that are ment for ADULTS ONLY.

Brief nudity is fine or atleast should be the max limit. I mean comeon, if you wanted to see porn go online or watch a XXX movie. Don't add it in our video games!

Some nudity in games like Mass Effect 2 make sense. It doesn't show anything other than Commander Shepard being mounted by the woman he's made fall in love with him, then she takes of some form of clothing. She leans in for a kiss then the screen goes black and it goes back to normal.

Nudity in a game is something that could take the focus out of the gameplay. No REALLY gamer would let nudity be a part of the game world.

I voted yes but I don't know about the hardcore sex thing. Maybe just regular sex. I don't want to see something that's one crotch short of a porno.
