I have little respect for humanity as a race, and find that we are failing ourselves by trying to make roadblocks in the form of fear. I don't believe I am a misanthrope, though. I am sickened by our faults, but know I am as faulty as everyone. I don't see evil in every human, but I see the same primal nature we are driven by at times.

I also believe that we are a species that requires a leader. Sure, leadership becomes corrupt as time passes by, but without a government, we would all die. Humanity is the species most other animals fear, but we are just like them in many ways. We fight for many things, much like animals, and we long to own territory. We're our own enemies while also being our own saviors.

It all depends on how you go about life. I would rather be a feline, personally, but I know that will never happen. I'm fine with being human. I look at all sides, as we are the most advanced of species living on Earth. We can't just hate what we are.

Yeah. The human race is so messed up. I can't believe at half the things they do sometimes. Like one can desire something that can be acquired by just working for it, but instead, they go for the easy way in and cheat to get it(easy example that I have no problem with: Game cheats)

BTW we still have slaves in many of the non-third world (and third world) countries.

Another thing. I can definitely see this thread getting out of hand really quickly.

Misanthropy is generalized dislike, distrust, disgust, contempt or hatred of the human species or human nature. A misanthrope is someone who holds such views or feelings. Uhh... no way LOL. Although we humans have done some pretty craz sh**!

It is hard to say if I am a misanthrope. Lately I have been spiritually been down just by knowing what has happened and what is happening now. However, there is a great irony about this that makes me hang my head.

This mainly has to do with my faith in God, to be honest. To understand where I am going with this, I recommend listening to Lamps by Esterlyn --if not, then just look for the lyrics. Basically, if there wasn't darkness in this world to begin with then a lamp like me would have no chance of shining. *speaks to self* Geez, I hope this isn't too off topic.

I personally say that I strongly dislike the human race because of their actions, their disregard for all other things, and their culture.
