I don't believe in Qi in the movie sense. I do believe an energy flows through us though, but it has to do with the soul and the body's own physiology.

Elara : I just got down to reading Silver Ravenwolf's "Solitary Witch" and I agree with you, she does dumb it down. If you look at her other work and the conclusion in the back of the book it is because she is trying to appeal to a younger "teen" audience, I think. However I still find the book a very useful reference. But in general, Cunningham's work is more along the lines of what I was interested in reading. I am working on writing my own detailed Book of Shadows so his writing is very useful.

I mean, seriously guys...our whole body is flowing with electricity. Sometimes that gets lost in translation when people are talking about the Chinese (chi) or Japanese (ki) concept. That's what they mean. And yeah...it can be controlled but I don't know if you can fire it at people.

I believe chi( qi is just a different version of that) along the lines of ghosts. I am very skeptical of anything even quasi-spiritual. I do believe that people might be able to train the minds and bodies to be more attuned to each other, even allowing for faster healing. Meditation is along those lines, but I don't believe in chi itself. The "chi balls" referred to in the question might be more of a psychic projection, like something out of science fiction or comic books, no offense intended. I find science fiction is becoming more science fact the further science advances. They have started along the path of nanobots and that's something that's been in science fiction for years.

im a skeptic i think that qi is made up. Your mind is ridiculously powerful you can belive whatever you want to believe and veen the most sane of people can start seeing tings that arent there sue to the powers of implication, hypnotism, and by countless other factors i think its all in everyoens head. i saw a ghost once and i could swear it was real i could touch it if i wasnt so scared i believed it for years but over time i start to question myself and how my mind could of made it up. btu thats just me
