if it were possible.... to make a truly sentient A.I. I think the ramafications would be huge.

You would have a being with a potential of knowing a HUGE amount of information and having a perfect memory and an amazing ability to cross reference information and make conclusions. It could advance science and research into areas and to levels that we can't even imagine right now.



But it could lack human qualities that may not be replicable. It may only work logically. It may have incredible deductive abilities but it might lack the insight to understand that some things just don't work or aren't possible. It may not understand ethics or morality. It could have no conscience or remorse.

And hopefully if someone replies to this thread, we could delve even deeper, since I'm kinda needing to do other work right now .
