KlawedFlaw : i remember that guy in the manga, great in several counts BTW, but im not saying that yugioh should have continued after yami left and all that, and if i did say that i need to figure out how to punch my past self in the face, but in my personal opinion and im not sure if you feel anywhere near the same way, yugioh should have simply ended after that, no spinoffs nothing, i know the spinoffs where probably just a method to milk the series for more, or to keep feeding the fans but all the spinoffs did was damage the image of the show (in my mind). there is a point when popular things need to end, and for yugioh i believe that that was at the main show.......... or maybe season 0 i never got past the first episode it might have gone somewhere well, even though the manga never really did.

There is no question in my mind that the original is the best. The storyline was near perfection and it actually made sense. The finale actually made sense and was a pleasing end to the series.

Capsule Monsters definitely counts as a spin-off. It appeared after the finale and contradicted so much in the show. The biggest contradiction was that the pharaoh was there.

I didn't watch much of GX, but what I did see was a lame spin-off. It wasn't worth my time.

I have been watching 5D's and it's decent as a show, but it can't compare to the original. I don't understand who thought it was a good idea for them to play a card game while riding bikes. That part is a bit weird. The parallel monster world is sort of a good idea, but I liked the whole monsters sealed in tablets in ancient Egypt plot better. On its own, 5D's is ok, but compared to the original it's bad.
