Mommy and baby are home now and we've named the baby.

Her name is Lydia Melodie. It's ie instead of y because there is already a y in the first name and my wife doesn't want her to have too many y's in here name . I think that is silly.... but I'm not gonna complain. I like the name either way.

She wasn't this cute at first.... it took 20 minutes or so for her to pink up... she was purple when she was born. It was a little scary, but the doctor and nurse said it was fairly common for that to happen. And she's been totally normal since then

I'm already doing early morning . I've got the almost 2 year to take care of. It's the somewhat sleepless nights that are tough. Thankfully my wife is handling bum changes and feedings because I agreed to handle the toddler all day. It'll be tough for a few weeks (first 6 weeks are usually the toughest stretch) and then it'll get easier. She'll probably sleep in her own room after that and we'll get a lot more sleep at that point. Right now my wife is basically going from nursing to sleeping to nursing to sleeping. The first week is basically all that.
