I have to say it's a bad idea. If you add blood and/or guns and knives to Mario, then you contradict everything the series stands for. He is a plumber who shoots fireballs at turtles in a colorful world. Smash Bros is acceptable, but a full Mario game wouldn't work.

I don't think this is the worst idea I've seen, but nonetheless I think it's a bad idea. All it takes is one game to destroy a characters image.

In case you don't know already Super Smash Brothers Brawl is a rated T video game. If Nintendo wants to attract adults and teenagers to the Wii then a few rated T games wouldn't hurt.
