On one hand, if it makes people feel better about themselves after living their whole life not liking something about how they look, then it's a good thing. It can give them confidence and fix their distorted body image and help them realize how special they are. On the other hand, when people go into the clinic and the doctor tries to sell plastic surgery to them, and keeps telling them things that look wrong about them and destroy any confidence they had before going into the clinic, I think that's wrong. I've seen some documentaries where people go into plastic surgery clinics for a consultation, and the doctors attack their self esteem using subtle comments and other devious techniques that I can't remember. Some people get so addicted to plastic surgery, that they can't feel beautiful unless they have some kind of injection done. When it fixes one little thing you hated you whole life, it's good. When people become completely addicted and re haul their entire body, that's bad.
