Server Migration is still in progress. Half of the database has been transferred, the rest should be finished within an hour or so. As for the RGR games, those wont be finished until morning.

at least the board is up!

Finally atleast some of it is up Really sucked having it down. I refreshed a lot I'm pretty impatient when it comes to sites being down

I bet I refreshed the main page every 20-30 minutes at least while I was home.

Same, I had vizzed open and I was studying biology. I'd refresh every time I turned the page, lol.

Same here, alot of refreshing. I tried to distract myself by playing FFXIII for awhile but then I just got too impatient. But now I am watching Wolverine Origins...Maybe wait till tomorrow however to get active on vizzed again. Give it so more time to pick back where it left off at....

Yeah the most important thing is getting the board up, maybe some of the gamers will post while they wait for their games to come back.

I was stressing out pretty bad earlier today though because there was a issue with PHP where PHP files weren't being rendered. I contacted Godaddy and the guy said he couldn't figure out the problem and to send in a help ticket and that godaddy would get back to me within 48 hours (keep in mind that this is after all the files have been transferred over). I spent a few hours trying to fix the problem myself and figured I'd contact Godaddy again hoping it'd be a different person and it was, the other guy was real helpful and fixed the problem and told me what the problem was. Now me being an idiot, I messed up the PHP server so I had to request godaddy to give me a new install of the entire server. The PHP problem came up again but thankfully I knew how to fix it this time and than I started transferring the files over again.

This transfer wasn't as bad as the last one but still always sucks waiting for the domain to point to the new server, for the longest time it was pointing to the old server for some of us.

Yeah I believe me among a couple others had taken awhile to register with the new server because it seems like some people were posting and what not before my browser and such were picking up the new server...

not by much.... I was on maybe 10-15 minutes before most people started showing up....

I doubt many people got on long before midnight server time... I did just long enough to post that VCS won't count for the day.

M!cH@3l 001 and I were posting down to the last few minutes lol, our convo isn't saved since I used a backup that took place before that. Oh Light Knight did come on to but the board was pretty much dead, total of like 20 people.

Me and BreakDown were able to get on last night, as did about 50 other people at max that I saw. I used to think that being all alone on the board would leave me free to post everywhere without someone beating my post count, but without the other people to reply it gets real slow and lonely real fast.

David, I'm glad you got that all sorted out. By the same PHP problem coming up again, do you think it will keep doing that every time you migrate, and that there's a problem with the site itself? Now you know how to fix it, but I'm just wondering, these things interest me.

Ohh I see the times are all out of wack. It's registering them a couple hours before we are really posting them. It made it seem as if people were on vizzed since like 9:30...

Is the Board all up now?

BTowns: No there was some file called web.config that was messing everything up which was getting transferred with the files. This problem wouldn't happen again since I've renamed the file and it's no longer affecting anything.

JusTReaL: Thanks for pointing that out, I'll need to change the server clock...fixed

Also most of the errors are fixed, if anyone sees any more, please let me know ASAP (not counting the RGR or anything related to it).

It's sad when the most bored I've ever been was during this migration... But now the board works and I'm happy again! Lol

Yeah it's depressing seeing the board down. To make things worst, it was my sisters 21st bday today and so I had to take a break from it all for a few hours to go visit with her at my parents

Now time to go on yahoo answers and let everyone who is asking questions about vizzed on there know that vizzed is back up lol.

What happened to Vizzed Board?
I went to Vizzed Board today and it says server error. Did they move or change their name or what? What happened? it worked fine yesterday.

Whats going on with vizzed board? when will it be back up?

Although, it is nice to see that there are people who like Vizzed enough that when it goes down it is noticed and people ask about why it's down on places like Yahoo answers. This isn't just a small message board anymore
