jmc1097 : Imagine if miraculously all the cures for diseases suddenly were made available the person or person(s) who would be responsible for that would be anointed heroes by the world minus of course our “beloved” medical insurance industry. You’d think with all the advances in technology that we have available now we would be able to find an undisputed cure for something.

Something doesn’t add up but I’m glad someone else is thinking the same thing I’ve been thinking for years.

To gain influence, one must be a leader. To be a leader, one must gain followers. To gain followers, one must be worth following. Many things can determine whether a person is worth following. Typically, it is based on their strength behind their beliefs mixed with an ability to persuade or a particular skill that they have trained to near perfection.

I have heard this from my karate instructor more times than I can count.

If a leader has enough followers, then they will have more influence. A leader with enough influence can change the world. It's as simple as that.
