As for myself I sorta wanna be posting more to hit 4000 posts on my 4000th day which is less than 2 weeks away but I really don't think I'm going to pull it off.

Good thing I am not competing If I was once again a winter storm could have played spoiler for me. Tomorrow I have a winter storm coming in that will bring ice and snow. Normally my area has rain during the winter with the occasional ice storm, but this time we could see more snow that we do in a year. Very similar to last year's winter storm.

Hopefully, this Tornado will get some wind in Summer.

Well, that was fun! I'm glad I was finally able to grab a blue jersey. With the lack of threads being open, it made finding places to post very difficult. Back in the old days when Vizzed had way more threads open, I would've easily gotten over 100 posts in yesterday, but unfortunately that's simply not possible anymore.

I'm glad to have gotten a 7 pointer in green, further increasing my lead in that category. Grabbing red was the cherry on top! All that work has gotten me within 1k CP of reaching my goal of reaching the 100k CP milestone. I wasn't expecting to reach this point in less than 10 days, but at least now I know for a fact that I'll definitely reach the milestone sometime during this TDV.

Yesterday was pretty intense, lol. Like gamer said, it was very difficult to find places I hadn't already posted in. If that wasn't an issue, I could've easily made at least 50 posts no problem.

While it's understandable given the lower activity these days, it's still kinda crazy that you can usually guarantee a top 5 spot for blue and yellow jerseys with 5 posts and ~500 words. I guess that's good to keep in mind in case I'm feeling lazy or burned out sometime later in the competition, lol.

SacredShadow: I know you can't answer this today but since you were active and won way earlier tdv's I'm curious do you find those super competitive ones tougher or one like now where around a week in it can start being difficult to find places to post? I personally only had one pretty active tdv to compete in and I found it more fun not sure if I would say it was easier or not I guess in a way since I didn't have to try and compete with only a few people for each jersey it was nice cause I could be bad at red and still make up for it elsewhere, that said I know the tdvs you were apart of were much more active.

I had the day off and didn't really get up to much so now last minute I'm trying to get some posts in before having to worry about that 50% of words rule that said if I do end up having to get dqed it won't really matter so maybe I should just post while I'm in the mood.

3 way battle for the Rainbow Banner.

claytune: It's definitely been an easier TDV this time around than in the past no question, the overall numbers per day in terms of posts, word count, contribution points, etc was all higher back in the old days. It's been nice to not have to be constantly on my toes to get high point totals let alone jerseys.

claytune: In the early TDVs I participated in, securing a decent number of points—let alone one or more jerseys was significantly more challenging than it is now.

Back then, it was normal for the top 5 in blue to have 50+ posts or their username on fire if it was a particularly active day. For yellow, even contributing 3,000-4,000 total words might not guarantee you a spot in the top 5, which would be considered overkill by current TDV standards. While there were occasional slower days here and there, competition was very fierce for the most part and you really had to commit to writing 1-2 reviews or constantly finding/making new threads to post in if you wanted to win a jersey.

With site activity nowadays being much lower than 10 years ago, the challenge lies more in finding active threads to post in. If you can make 5-10 posts that add up to ~500 total, you're basically guaranteed to make top 5 in blue and yellow and walk away with a couple points each day with minimal effort. If you're not aiming to snag several jerseys, it's very easy to get a couple points every day without dedicating several hours of your day to do so.

If you compare the 188 points I earned over the course of a full month in the first TDV I won to the 158 points I have now after only 10 days of competition, the difference is night and day. It was pretty rare to snag several (or all) of the jerseys and get 15-20 points for the day, much less every day like you can now.

I never would of guessed that if I was to win a random jersey this month it'd be yellow over green or blue but my rambling nature at 2 AM got me a jersey and I imagine the only jersey I win this month unless I really want a green down the road.

Well I was definitely not expecting to climb to 2nd at this point, but here I am. I came into this with little to no preparation and didn't even start putting in the work until late day 1.

Yes, it’s a jab, you started it. No one attacks Becky. Becky finally got to working again or else Becky would’ve came out of retirement and participated. Blame the job, not me. So let us just move on, peacefully, and have a healthy competition amongst the victims, I mean competitors.

Good, I'm getting close to making my green lead be in the 20's. The bigger that lead gets, the better. As far as overall TDV goes, I hate to disappoint, but I just don't see myself being able to close the gap there. Yellow simply isn't a priority for me.
