I guess me being a BABY (22) used to MODERN SITES got me all screwed up browsing Vizzed. Cool site, by the way, if a bit confusing at times! With questions like...

What's that "lay trap" thing at the top..?
Why can I "buy access to GBA games" when I can already play them?
Making a thread costs Viz, but adding keywords gives more Viz than it costs?
And probably other questions I don't remember at the moment.

But on the introduction part of the whole thing: I'm Fex, 22, nurse student / artist-ish? (Haven't drawn in months! )
Currently at my parents for the holidays, and I couldn't haul my whole set over (seemed overkill and more work than anything), and I for some reason remembered Vizzed. I'd be dying out of boredom otherwise. The Argentine heat's killing me, too.

As for your questions the lay trap thing at the top is a way to catch members of the site it was at first an April fools joke several years back but it was so popular it just became a full time thing. I believe the buying access to GBA games make it cost 0 Viz to play them. As for the threads I think the keywords giving out Viz is to incentivize them to be used more.

I gotta work each holiday besides that I'm not sure what I'll do.

I do agree if I were brand new I would definitely struggle to navigate this site. I am still finding new links to access every week.

While I am not good at the artistic side of things I can definitely understand an artist block at least that is what it sounds like to me.

But for holidays when not busy I am currently just sitting on the Minecraft server trying to revive the Pokemon Kanto Region Map that got abandoned several years ago. Recreating it from scratch versus what was already had. Otherwise spend sometime with family while I have time off work.

claytune: weird, I've been playing Castlevania on the GBA and I don't think it's costing Viz. I don't see a "price" anywhere either? It'd make more sense to use Viz to unlock the PSX, which seems completely blocked unless you buy it.

also, the difference between the V-Console and the Laptop are just flexing rights, right? haha

Friends have been recommending me to watch Sousou no Frieren. Cute, but a bit slow so far! Gotta stick to it- I have terrible habits when it comes to finishing stuff.

pokemon x : is the Minecraft server like, a Pokécraft server? With the plugins and all? Or.. whatever the case, cool project! These days I was in the usual, yearly friend group impromptu server. yknow those that dont last too long haha. modded tho! can't bear vanilla anymore

probablyfex : Unfortunately it is just a vanilla server. One of the really old projects was just having a basic kanto map with the NPCs made. The only problem is the citizens plugin is broke so right now only the map can be made and seen.

Honestly it would be cool if we had a modded server for all of us to use but I think the current server couldn't handle it.

I could host one but I personally don't like the idea of anyone and everyone being able to connect to me. Too many bad apples for me to host publicly.

sonicmcmuffin: thanks for the reqs! i'm not usually one to watch much, even though i enjoy them a lot when a friend streams whatever over discord. by myself; usually what makes me want to watch something is the animation style or the art in general.

pretty hyped for dungeon meshi atm!

when it comes to games:
retro; after much poking from a friend to play castlevania, i'm on that. i love rogues, so, rogue and nethack, obviously!

modern; more of the same. roguelikes, lites, anything with lots of replayability. Dwarf Fortress, Isaac, CDA, DCSS, Rimworld, Noita - and then FPS, along with other more social to play with friends are fun to me too; lately a lot of Overwatch? CS, and I used to play Apex but it's not my thing anymore. have a huge love-hate relationship with tarkov. Friends have been making me play Fortnite too, haha.

not a whole lotta hobbies other than those! they take a lotta my time, tho. i got a keyboard and a guitar that i should really spend more time on. piano's such a beautiful soundmaker. i'll admit i care way more about art than healthcare, even if i like caring for people! nursing is just like, a safety net. super sure i'll get a stable, well paying job, etc.

my takes are lukewarm. so, guess not!

You can play removed games still you just need the roms for it. Which we can't provide. Also it is required to have the plugin for it.

I just saw this but I figured I'd address your question about the Viz cost for games because it didn't seem like anyone really addressed it properly. David removed the Viz requirement for all games in the retro game room some time ago. I believe that includes PlayStation. So you don't need to buy the PlayStation item to play those games. Honestly the only key items in the market that actually do things anymore I believe are the netplay item (I think you can still host netplay sessions without it but they cost Viz.), the song downloader for the game music pages, the ad blocker options, the forum owner vouchers (only if you own a rented forum), and the 2x song vouchers (assuming the vizzed radio stream is up).

nakina: Hey! Thanks for the clarifying that up, but it's weird because some games don't have the "play" window, so to speak. Resident Evil 2 on the PSX by example; but it does on... my phone? Very confusing- and I don't know how to play 'em, really!

Some things are different on the Phone, so you just gotta go on the computer, but if you do want to buy the PSX PS, I sent you some Viz, and then once you buy them you might be able to, I might be wrong.

Dauntez: I'm pretty good on Viz at the moment (you had given me a bunch more earlier!), I just gotta do more posts to get off Newbie rank to be able to buy it. I hope it's just posts and not threads, because that'd be painful. Hard to come up with so much stuff to make threads of, haha. I'll keep trying! On PC nothing shows up, though. There's no "pick emulator options", play menu, whatever you might call it. That window where you can pick online emus and plugin emus. Appreciate it again, and the heads up about TdV!

probablyfex : If you really want to play the PSX though you should just go on your PC because it might take awhile for someone to figure out why, I will msg Staff if needed, but for now, I'm just going to recommend stuff.

I'll summon you on one of my Threads, I hope you become member soon though! You can reply to two more then you become a member, and when you become Trusted you can view threads that are for trusted+, there are many like that, and even ones I have made.

So you can reply to your own posts as much as you want, but then only one post per day if it's not your Thread. But don't Sandwich post, that means to post twice in a row, on your own Threads too. (unless it's a blog then you can)
