Regardless of what you collect, I want to see the most valuable cards in your collection. Feel free to share the cards you have with the highest monetary value, highest personal/sentimental value, or both! Also, let me know how you managed to get your hands on the card(s).

For me, the crown jewel of my expansive Pokemon card collection are my gold star Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. I bought all three of them together, already graded, for $680 (including shipping, tax, etc.) in February of 2020 from some lady in Singapore that was selling them in a Facebook group. Their market value has increased quite a bit since then. Recent eBay sold listings has them at around $700 to $850 each. They peaked in value in early-to-mid 2021, when they were selling on eBay for $1500 each. If I was smart I would've sold them then and bought them back now for a nice profit, but I couldn't bring myself to part with them.

tgags123 : The only trading card I have now is a Pokémon energy card. I also remember a kid gave me some monkey Pokémon he had, but the teacher confiscated it like 5 minutes after I got it.

MrKokoPudgeFudge : There is something strangely appealing about the idea of an entire collection consisting of just one single energy card. It's poetic, in a way.

For trading cards, the two best cards that I have are from the Quintessential Quintuplets set of Weiss Schwarz, both of which have stamps on them. One of them is a stamp of Miku, which was worth around $80 the last time I checked and I pulled it from one loose pack. The other card is one that's signed by the Japanese voice actor for Yotsuba. I bought a box and each box comes with one autograph and this was the one that was in it which also happens to be the best one.

For sports cards, there are two really good ones, but one of them has ranked a lot. The first is an All-Star jersey card that's been signed by both Bryce Harper and Stephen Strasburg. The second is a rookie auto of Cody Bellinger that is numbered to 5.

Wow that's cool. Super solid slabs. Those will hold in value over time and would look pretty slick behind a UV frame.


I own a master set of Celebrations, the Charizard V alt art from Brilliant Stars, and most of the cards from the Pokemon Go set, minus the rainbow and golden Mewtwos and a few cheaper cards. Getting a card graded would cost about 50-60 dollars per card, so I've been waiting until I have at least 20 worth getting graded. I've done some very close inspection on my celebrations set and think it's a shoe-in for a full PSA 10 grade. There's a slight printing error on the very top of the foil of my Charizard alt art, which is only visible under a flashlight, where the card was cut on the top you can see some very tiny lines. I can picture getting a 9 for it even so.

Outside of Pokemon, I have a Mishra, Claimed by Gix from Magic the Gathering: Brothers War, and Sensei's Devining Top from Double Masters 2022.

Nothing really heavy like those Eeveelutions but still some nice value.
