Davideo7 : I have successfully captured Davideo7!

I second Super Davideo7 2's request. A slightly more polished version of this could be a lot of fun.

Now imagine if TdV was sticking with the original format of every 3 months, we will have so many captures at a point that everyone will own everything, and all traps would of been set, and chaos will suit.

Davideo7 : I wish this would of been a permanent feature instead of an One-Day event taking place on April Fools 2019. But personally, this could be the best April Fools thing you came up with. Unless, maybe April Fools 2020, The Demon Bird will let loose and end up taking over the entire Vizzed and bring chaos and insanity towards the entire complexity of Vizzed and turn the entire site into a huge cabbage farm.

Davideo7 : One thing I love about this is that it makes use of the person's level... something which doesn't really serve any other purpose on the board, but that is a fun little stat.

This is actually quite fun. I've yet to really figure it out, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

What I don't understand is the placing of traps and how to actually catch somebody, other than clicking "deploy trap"

It'll be a fun lil thing for users to do on the site that would honestly keep me entertained for hours. I second the idea of having particular items for your traps you can buy with Viz. Such as maybe a trap time booster, 2x catch rate, maybe a master ball effect on the first person to walk into it.

I also think it might be good, if you were to keep it, to reset it maybe every month? Because you can only do this for so long until you've caught your everyday members. It would also help with the people that fall behind from the very start get an oppritunity to be on the leader boards. I could see maybe making competitions out of it too.

I kind of like IB's idea of "Legendaries" My idea would be making Davideo Mythical, Maybe the Admins and Globals Legendaries and Locals (Maybe site staff too?) be Rare or Super Rare.

It would actually be really neat if at the end of this you could make the arena and fight this way xD

I think it needs some fine-tuning, for sure. For example, the page would need to refresh and update automatically, without having to F5.
You should be able to trade in if you catch multiples.
And trading should be a thing.

Just a few ideas off the top of my head.

So now the question must be asked... who caught the elusive real Davideo7?

I have yet to catch David, however I have been trying.

One thing I find interesting is that Ema has caught 100 users. I didn’t even think that there were still 100 users who log in regularly, at least not within two days. There may not be a ton of posts happening, but I users are still around and logging in every day.

I’ve even caught 46 users, which isn’t near as many as her, but it’s still an impressively high number to me.

I caught a level 21 lolid23 ,level 123 Furret ,and a level 3 Ema Skye! Not bad for my first time!

I scroll through this April Fools Day thread, an entire day late. And I realize, I hardly recognize any of the posters here. At most I remember two, maybe three?
It's been too long, and I never contributed enough to the site.
It was all about the chat rooms back in 2011/2012.

I think this is probably my second favorite April Fool's day event on Vizzed. It's only topped by 2016 where the site turned into a 90's throwback webpage lol. I still have some video footage of that time saved to my hard drive.

I'll take a look at and respond to everyone's messages later but just wanted to let everyone know that due to popular demand, I've decided to keep this feature

I might make it an event type thing though where it only appears during special times. Maybe every few months? Or I could keep it up all the time too, doesn't matter. It does take up a lot of space though so I'll have to think of a solution to that.

Also, feel free to make any suggestions on things you'd like to see added. Not everything can be fulfilled but anything that isn't too time consuming I can do.

Maybe a Vizzed GO competition could, at least for now, take the spot of the two TdVs we have discontinued. Following this structure, it'd be a competition held every 6 months, with one starting on April Fools and the other one ending on Halloween. Two very special dates for a very special competition, don't you think?

As for suggestions, the only thing I have in mind right now is if you'd be able to catch the same user again if its level has changed. I know levels don't change that often so as to notice on the short term, but with proper timing and enough luck it could actually happen.

-I fixed a level bug where if you're above level 250, it claims you're at 250
-I've decreased the odds of catching someone at a higher level
-I made it so that you can catch someone again if their level changes
-Gave the level number a shadow on the cards so that it stands out more (isn't going to apply to cards already earned)


EX Palen : Refer to the above. I think it'd also be cool to have it so that a user's "type" is based on the 2 categories they have the most CP in. So for example, if someone has the most CP in video related categories (video submission, video rating, video rated, streaming, etc), then that'd be one of their types.

I've already re-captured a couple users who had a level increase in recent days. Now nobody's safe even on pages with traps laid by somebody that already captured them!

I'm okay with the "type" thing. We should probably look deeper into it to see if we could make more combinations than just basing it on CP, but for starters it's not a bad concept.

EX Palen : The idea would be that the type would represent what type of user they are. Like are they a user that's here primarily for posting. Do they spend most of their time using the video game music room.

And then maybe depending on your own type, that changes your chances of catching someone. Or perhaps it changes the chances depending on where the trap is laid. Lots of different possibilities to add a bigger dynamic to this and to offer more strategy.
