Bowser sends Mario and 3 toads into a portal he opens and jumps in. They are taken into the galactic warp zone dimension, a lost dimension through time and space. Later on, it is discovered that Bowser intends to merge the galactic warp zone dimension with their home dimension. Mario figures out the presence of power stars and decides to gather as many as possible until he can defeat Bowser and find a way back to the home dimension.

This game has:

• 31 power stars (without 100 coin stars)
• 15 new worlds to explore.
• 100 coins available in some areas but have a freezing bug:
If you collect the 100th coin at an area where ground pounding forms a growing white semi-circle, the star will appear but the game will freeze... I would have loved to remove 100 coin stars... But whatever...
• Music from various games.

Note: Course 11 star 2 says inside the temple will stay not taken because the temple interior replaces peach's secret slide... The name of act 2 in course 11 is just a guide to finding the star. The star is the one inside the temple, don't get confused!
