Pokemon "Platinum"   AJBSJ
When I clicked on this game, I was expecting a Gold/Silver, a Red/Blue, even a Diamond/Jade hack, but what I got was something else entirely. What I got was a mediocre, incredibly easy, incredibly short platformer. I beat the game twice in the span of half an hour. You play as the world's strongest Pokemon, these Pokemon being a Flareon and Psyduck (Who can take enemies out with one hit), and a Pichu and Abra (Who need two hits), running around the forest and caves destroying everything from a Hitmonchan to a simple Voltorb.

GRAPHICS-  For what the hacker had to work with, it wasn't horrible. The sprites seemed to be 8-bit versions of Ruby/Sapphire...except Abra. I burst out laughing when I saw Abra. The levels themselves weren't too bad, about average. You could easily tell which Pokemon you were, and which Pokemon you were fighting, so this is probably the most decent part. 5
SOUND- Simply annoying. The level music can stretch on for two levels or more at a time, and it loops over and over. And not it a way that makes it charming or memorable such as Super Mario Land or the canon Pokemon games. The sound effects are your basic sound effects. Nothing special. 3
ADDICTIVENESS- Like I mentioned earlier, you can beat this game really quickly, and there wasn't really anything that would keep you coming back. I wish I could say more, but there isn't much to say. Much like our next category... 4
STORY- What story? There was no story to speak of. And let me get something straight. When I say no story, I also mean no known objective as well. Lets go back to Super Mario Land. There wasn't really any story in that game ether, but you knew why you were playing, in that case to save Princess Daisy. In this game, you don't know. You're just killing enemies and trying to get to end of the level. No explanation. 0
DEPTH- There is no depth to this game, at least not from what I saw. A little kid could probably get a bit of enjoyment, considering the fact that you're running around as a Pokemon and how simple it is. Other than that, depth was almost non-existent. If you do decide to try this game, you'll probably play it once and forget about it quite quickly, or get bored. 1
DIFFICULTY- This game is so easy. And maybe that's what you're looking for. Something simple to wind down after playing some Ghosts 'N Goblins. But for those who are looking for a genuine challenge, this game isn't for you. Like I said though, this game would probably be good for a child. Perhaps it was meant for a child. However considering Pokemon's main demographic, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. 3
OVERALL-  A bit of a disappointment, and not worth much time or thought. I don't really regret playing it, but I probably won't play it again. If you're looking for a quick, easy mind-number, than you might consider this game, but if you're looking for a challenge, a time-consumer, or a genuine Pokemon RPG, than keep looking. 5
