Poor attempt at a Mario game Joe Ma-Ma
This is one of the worst games I have ever played, that isn't saying much though since I'm good at avoiding bad games. Hotel Mario wasn't even made by Nintendo, it was made by Phillips, you know, the generic tech company. Even worse this was made instead of a another Mario game with a promising appearance, Mario's Wacky Worlds, that game was canceled and instead we got Hotel Mario, that's just great. The Graphics are very beyond for it's time, this was when the Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation came out and it looks like something from the Super Nintendo, why? The Soundtrack is average at best, and mostly is just generic. That said the voice-acting is just terrible, it sounds like they're not even trying, in fact, I think the "voice-actors" are literal robots. The Story is dumb as well, the princess is kidnapped again so they have to look for her in 7 hotels, that's it, that's the story. The cutscenes are corny as crap, along with the crap voice-acting I mentioned a few seconds ago, this makes the game hard to sit through, we haven't even gotten to the gameplay yet, gosh. The gameplay is simple, you just close doors on different platforms while killing enemies and raise and repeat, that's about it. The gameplay is repeative, more repeative than Call of Duty, and that's saying something. I can't play this game often, you know why? The answer is I feel like stabbing forks on my eyes while running off a building every time I play this awful game. Hotel Mario isn't even that hard, it just takes time to complete a level because the doors open again after a while, like really? Hotel Mario offers little to nothing, there's unbearable cutscenes, repeative gameplay, and just plain boring things to do. Hotel Mario doesn't even feel like a Mario game, it isn't anything like Mario. Mario you go through greatly designed level stomping on goombas, punching bricks, getting power-ups, and defeating Bowser. Hotel Mario is nothing like that, it's just like a TV Show of a popular video game or action figure that only existed because that thing is popular, in fact, that's exactly what it is, a corporate cash-in. Hotel Mario is mess, a huge mess. It's a rushed
replacement of another game, Voice-acting is horrible and soundtrack is a meh, story is dumb and cutscenes are corny to the bone, I find no reason to ever playing this game again.

Bad mario game superluigi1
Alright Hotel Mario. I only found a couple okay things about this game and a bit more bad stuff. I thought the control was okay. At least you Don't have to press up to jump, not like in the CDI Zelda games which were much worse. But one thing that confused me at first was the game play. When I first played this game (note I did not watch reviews of this game back then) on Vi zed. I was wondering whatever this game was good or not. And when I played the first stage it really disappoint me when I had to close all doors instead of jumping on enemies. And when watched an AVGN video of it I thoughts changed on this game. I now think its bad and should not play it again. Another bad thing that Angry Video Game Nerd did not mention is that the story is not so good.

Hotel mario: A pretty underrated game Jirachistar358
Hotel Mario is a game for the Philips CDI. The console is very rare to find nowadays since it had such low sales. I remember playing this on the CDI.
STORY:
The game starts off with popular characters Mario and Luigi walking around a park, going to the princesses picnic. The voice actors didnt do well, but I liked luigis voice. Bowser is seen before they walk through the arch, with a unsettling laugh, for luigi, anyway. They cant seem to find the princess. They see a building with a note, that says something like ''Dear pesky plumbers, the koopalings and I have taken over the mushroom kingdom!'' and stuff like that. They go through seven hotels, which peach comes out of alot of, but gets herself lost again and again and again.. Personally a 7 for me.
GRAPHICS:
The graphics arent as good, but again, this game was released in 1994. This game has the best graphics of its console, in my opinion. This gets a 7.
DEPTH: This is just like any mario game, but with a twist, of course theres boss battles, saving peach and all that, but this game included something other than getting to a flag pole, and this mechanic i absolutely despised: the mechanic was to just close doors. Yes, you heard me, all you did was close doors. The cutscenes were nice though, and I like the secret ones. ''You know what they say, all toasters toast toast! This gets a 6.
DIFFICULTY:
This game was pretty easy for me, so it just simply gets a 5.
ADDICTIVENESS:
I honestly loved almost everything about this game except for how boring that gameplay was. You avoided foes and closed doors. Isnt that pretty much it? This gets a simple 3.
SOUND:
I personally loved the sounds and music in this game. Especially the music. Have you even heard the music of the last part of the first cutscene? This gets an easy 8.
OVERALL:
This game is not as good, but is much better than everyone says it is. And I personally find those youtube videos hillarious. This is one of my favorite mario games and it deserves an 8. I want to give you some quotes from the game before this review ends (the ones that I like the most)
''If you need instructions on how to get through the hotel, check out the enclosed instruction book''
''I hope she made lotsa spaghetti!''
''Hey you! Get offa my cloud!''
People always tell me this is the worst mario game. It isnt.
*cough* mario is missing *cough*
Well, thanks for checking out this review and please give feedback.
