9.8
Awesome, but litterrally just a port of the arcade one but playable bosses mrhello
Ok well...here we go!
=Graphics= 9
They're pretty much the same as '98 UM but with better looking backgrounds and stuff. Also, unlike the PS2 version, this doesn't have 3D Backgrounds but the backgrounds seem to do an illusion which makes it look semi-3D.
=Sound= 10
They REALLY improved the sound compared to '98 UM. Some characters voices are different but most sound the same. The music from 2002 is no longer in 2002 UM and the soundtrack has been totally redone and doesn't sound like music that you'd hear on your AES or MVS Neo-Geo system.
=Addictiveness= 10
The game is so friggin addictive, I found myself literally playing 2002 UM MUCH more than '98 UM since the day I got the game. =Depth= 10 This game is crazy depth-wise. It takes FOREVER to get the secret chars (Well, unless Igniz is the first one you get..). It also offers characters that never were in the NESTS saga such as Goenitz, Geese, The New Faces Team, and Omega Rugal and a few others. =Difficulty= 5 The game is really easy with the normal AI. The only times I found this game hard were at the mid bosses and certain boss characters such as Igniz and...actually, pretty much all the bosses are impossible without Igniz. The hardest AI in the game I can think of is Igniz. =Gameplay= 10 The gameplay here is great. A simple gauge system (though not as simple as '98 UM) and unlike 2002 it is simpler to do an HSDM (MAX 2 in 2002 UM) and it does not require having to press a series of button presses. =Story= N/A
Aaaaannnnndddd, just like '98 UM, there is no story. :|
