PacmanandMariofan's Review of SM64 Wacky Worlds   Pacman+Mariofan
Hello, everybody! This is my review of Super Mario Wacky Worlds. This game is very unique in a few ways that I will explain in this review.
Graphics: 8
All of the levels and some objects (such as goombas) were re-textured. The strange thing is... some of the goombas still have their normal look, but other goombas are re-textured to look like shy guys! I thought the graphics were very creative and well thought out. Even Mario got changed slightly; he's colored a little darker than normal! I especially liked the graphics used for the basement of the castle... the blue wall textures used looked really nice in my opinion.
Sound: 8
Most of the music is new and imported from other games. However, course 1's theme remains the same as usual. My favorite thing about the sound in this game that makes the game more unique than other Super Mario 64 hacks is that some sound effects changed pitch, were flip-flopped, or got removed! For example, when Mario does a kick, he doesn't make the high-pitch noise he normally makes. Instead, he makes the sound effect originally used for a flip, but the pitch is lower. And, when Mario does his normal jump, he makes the sound he normally makes when he kicks but the pitch is higher! Plus, some other sound effects remain almost the same but not all of the sound effect can be heard. Play the game if you haven't already to see (or should I say hear) what I'm talking about!
Addictiveness: 7
All of the levels in this game are almost exactly the same as they were before, except the star names, textures, and some object placement was changed. For example, in Cheep-Cheep Resort (originally called "Wet Dry World" in Super Mario 64), the first star is placed differently and instead of having to cross those arrow platforms to get to the star, you have to cross the arrow platforms, hit the purple switch on the platform above, jump across some boxes, then jump on another platform THEN get the star. Another major thing that was changed in this game was the Wing Cap. It's much easier to use because you fly a lot slower and you have more control of your flying. Plus, Mario's wings are replaced by bunny ears.
Story: 8
I really liked the new story that the creator of this game introduced. The storyline goes something like this: Mario's brain isn't working properly thanks to Bowser and Mario must collect stars to restore power to his brain. I've never seen such a great new storyline idea for a Super Mario 64 hack before.
Depth: 7
Like I said in the addictiveness category, this game is almost the same as it was before, but certain things were changed. If you've beaten the original Super Mario 64 before, this game should probably be easy for you (especially with that new Wing Cap behavior I talked about).
Difficulty: 7
This game should be almost as easy as the original Super Mario 64 but like I said before, some stars and object placements were changed to make things more difficult. The game shouldn't be too hard overall.
Overall: 8
If you like Super Mario 64, you would most likely enjoy this game too. It may have the same levels and stuff, but it seemed like a brand-new adventure when I first started playing it and I'm sure you'll feel the same way when you start playing it. Well, that was it. I hope you enjoyed my review!

Yeah the game loads fine for me. Try a different browser, or the different plugins provided in the upper right. If those don't work, your computer doesn't have the power to run N64 games properly

I think it might be your internet browser or something. Internet Explorer is a pain for me sometimes. Maybe if you have FireFox, you can try that. Other than that, I don't know what to do.
